"Dusknoir, one final Shadow Ball!"

A small and slender tan-coloured girl stood at the peak of Mt Pyre, high enough that she could almost touch the clouds. Her Pokemon fired off one final Shadow Ball, grazing past her shoulder, almost hitting her spiked black hair and flower petals adorning the side of her head. But, she narrowly avoided it without much issue. She smiled, walking forward to Dusknoir and saying,

"That's enough training for one night. Take a rest."

She tapped Dusknoir on the head with the Pokeball, the goliath being sucked inside. She clicked the Pokeball, shrinking it down and then carrying it as she slowly walked away from the graveyard. That was when she suddenly found goosebumps rippling across the surface of her skin. A draft carried along the wind, chilling the air around her. The effect was instant, although the woman didn't know why her heart was suddenly racing. Nor where the draft came from. But, a black beam ruptured just over the horizon. Suddenly, it made more sense. She felt a disturbance of souls. A screaming well of voices. She fell to the ground, clenching the grass as her brain tried to understand the mess of voices.

WE'RE FREE. WE'RE FREE AGAIN. AGAIN. TO TAKE MORE FOR OUR CAUSE.

"109. 109 spirits.", she could tell through the distinct voices, and the way the spirits seemed to form in front of her eyes as she got up from the ground, dusting herself off. The dark pulse was still firing in the distance. Whatever it was, she could feel that it was something of great importance. Not only to her, but to whoever had the misfortune of awakening those spirits. A Drifblim soon appeared in front of her, climbing on top and whispering into her Pokemon's ear,

"Follow the jet-black beam, as quickly as you can. Someone could be in danger."

Drifblim nodded as it fluttered into the sky, then started looking onwards to the horizon where the sky was slightly blackened...

Lucas fell to the floor, crawling away from the keystone as the Pokémon gathered behind him. Corphish tried to stand proudly to protect Lucas, only to get shuffled behind.

"Stay behind me, this could get bad."

Spiritomb grew and grew in size, a maniacal laugh echoing throughout the room and down the corridors. Then, its eyes shone a bright green. Instantly, it's body compressed together, before suddenly releasing. A blackened pulse of darkness ran across the entire room, launching Lucas to the wall with so much force he almost smashed through the weakened walls of the facility. The lights that flickered above crashed to the ground around Spiritomb, almost crushing Tentacool was launched out of its bucket by a falling chunk of debris, but Lucas quickly returned it to the safety of its Pokeball. He scampered to grab Tentacool's bucket, then looked to Corphish and cried,

"Bubble Beam!"

Corphish stood strong, planting its feet and shooting bubbles from its pincers. Lucas knew it wouldn't do much, but it would allow them some time to get out of the place. Lucas gestures towards the door and Surskit and Wingull followed closely behind. Lucas hid behind the crumbling wall, bringing out their two Pokeballs. Wordlessly, they both got into the relative safety held in Lucas' palm, as Lucas turned his head around the corner to find Corphish still blasting at Spiritomb. But, Lucas could tell Spiritomb was planning something. Just as Spiritomb released a Dark Pulse, Lucas returned it to its Pokeball, protecting it from the danger of the blast. But, Spiritomb caught on quickly, tilting its head towards Lucas. Chills ran down his spine...

Lucas leapt out of the way as Spiritomb burst through the door, almost taking off his head. Lucas quickly picked himself up, running at top speed through the corridor. The mark of Spiritomb followed Lucas as the colour drained from the wall, closer and closer. Looking around, he knew that Spiritomb would be getting closer and closer. Lucas weaved his way past shards of concrete, the destroyed walls and everything in between. But, whatever obstacle that stood in Spiritomb's way was destroyed with absolute ease. Whether that be through a Dark Pulse shattering it into pieces, or a Psychic throwing away pieces of debris. But, after a while of the cat and mouse chase, Spiritomb finally slowed down, using Psychic. Lucas felt a weightlessness consume his body, looking down only to find his body completely levitating from the floor. Then...
