SHAWN

Not only was the Alpha of the Warrior pack coming today but so is the supposedly strongest werewolf warrior. I wasn't as excited as I should have been.

The Lux pack was becoming difficult and I couldn't help but threaten them with death if they didn't stop with the riots. My beta, her brother, convinced them to shut up, I don't know how but now they were model pack members.

I smelled him before he knocked on my door. "Uh Alpha Sir, the warrior pack is here." Carter said, nervous for some reason. Eh, he was probably overwhelmed with the power radiating out of my body.

I stood up and brushed off the imaginary dust off of my shirt and put a hand through my hair. I put on my signature smirk and headed down the stairs to meet this powerful pack.

Everything became silent as my footsteps became louder. I smirked to myself, telling myself that everyone was scared of my presence and I liked it that way. I could have used this a few years ago.

I frowned. I thought I stopped thinking about that when I let my human side get buried.

I turned the corner and faced a man, probably their Alpha because of the power that I could feel radiating off of him, but not as much as me. His blue eyes seemed to be looking at me with familiarity even though I had never met this man before. I moved forward and his body tensed.

I couldn't help but smile. He probably knew who I was and was now afraid to face me.

He cleared his throat after a few seconds of staring at me probably contemplating what my next move would be.

Narrowing his eyes at me, he held out his hand. "Alpha King, it's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Nathan Lockwood." He said through clenched teeth.

I smirked and crossed my arms. He huffed in response adding to my amusement.

His pack members seemed like they didn't like my attitude because of the soft growls I heard.

I looked at their faces with an intense glare making them look down.

"I would appreciate it if you would show us our rooms. It seems as if we would need to stay here for a while." He sneered in my direction as I eyed up this blond girl in their pack.

She looked up at me with disgust just before she was blocked by another dude with blond hair. He straightened his pose into a threatening one and growled at me. He growled at me. Son of a bitch had balls.

I just smirked at him because I knew he wouldn't be able to touch me.

As for the blond, their were way more where she came from.

"Beta." I called...Carter? I keep forgetting that boys name. Whatever.

He came and stood in front of me. "Take Alpha..." Fuck... "Take the Alpha and his pack to their guest bedrooms." I commanded already annoyed that I had to speak.

"Thank you Alpha." Nathan said almost sneering. I also have two of my pack members arriving tomorrow morning so please let any of your guards know."

I chuckled. "Why are you afraid my guards will be able to take down two trained warriors?" I couldn't help but gloat at that. It was prideful knowing every wolf feared my pack.

"HA!" Alpha Nathan suddenly laughed, slapping his thigh. "Please...it's more like the other way around. I just want you to warn your guards before my warriors attack. Your guards might not make it out alive against my strongest warrior or against my most wisest warrior." He said smirking.

A tall guy standing next to him snorted. "Wisest? Bro really? I wouldn't exactly call Zander wise!"

Nathan stared at him in anger but the guy wasn't even paying attention and kept going, now talking in an English accent. "Stupidest perhaps? Maybe even childlike. Although, he does have his moments. Do you agree brother? I do say, not only do I agree, I absolutely 100% believe that, that man has fallen on his cranium a tremendous amount of times."

Nathan slapped him upside the head. "Shut up!" He hissed at him making some of my pack members laugh.

I snapped my neck towards them and glared. How dare they laugh with them! They were an enemy pack!

They instantly cleared their throats and avoided my glare.

I couldn't help but enjoy the fear radiating off of their bodies. It was like a nice, warm, fear-filled blanket.

After the Alpha and his pack were settled into their rooms I headed towards the kitchen, hoping my depressed mother was in their to make my sandwich but instead my nose was attacked with a smell I haven't smelled in almost 2 years.

Just before I could turn around and face her, a white cloth was shoved up my nose, forcing me to open my mouth to let out a growl. The stinging smell rushed into my head causing black dots to dance in front of my vision. I got up again only to have the cloth attack my nose again. I hit the ground again but this time, I looked up to see the most beautiful women I have ever seen in my life. Her familiar eyes called me to her making me want to love her. And then, I welcomed the darkness.

My eyes shot open in a dark room that smelled very strongly of blood.

Rage coursed through my veins as I recalled the events.

The Bitch chloroformed me! How dare she! I moved to sit up but was stuck. A growl, as loud as I could, bellowed out of my mouth when I realized I was chained to the ground. My wrists and my ankles burned as I tried to break the shackle.

I was the strongest known werewolf, how is it I can't break this weak metal? What the fuck is going on?

I sniffed the air when that delicious smell twirled around my nose. Jennifer.

"MATE!" I called out to her. I struggled under the chains, trying to break free to kick some ass.

I heard a door open down the hall. I snapped my eyes towards the door as sunlight flooded into the room and I couldn't help but breath in my mates scent. It was doing things to me. I pushed down the feeling. I can't let myself feel human emotion. It won't happen.

Yet, when I saw her face, my heart couldn't help but leap in joy. I growled, not at her but at myself.

I felt my heart again. I remembered what right and wrong was again and I couldn't help but hate it. I haven't seen her for so long and it was such a happy feeling. I struggled again with the chains trying to keep the emotions down, trying to keep the human down but it was hard. I growled in pain, squeezing my eyes shut. My head burst with stabbing pains as I tried to control it.

"Shawn! What's wrong?" The concern in my mate's voice made me feel loved. It made me...feel.

I picked up my head and threw it back down on the concrete floor, trying to welcome the darkness again. Anything was better than being my old self. Anything. I was weak and I hated the weakness. Being an animal was always the answer. I could feel myself shifting but didn't let it happen as I continued with slamming my head to the floor.

I heard my mate screaming at me to stop but I couldn't. With one more slam to the head, I saw darkness. I looked at my mate, my beautiful Jen, in pain. Her tear streaked face reflected in the darkness. I don't know why but I knew I was never going to feel again so I memorized ever part of her face, giving her a silent apology and reminding myself why I did it in the first place. I closed my eyes feeling light, almost like I was flying. Did I damage my head to much? It didn't matter anymore because I was gone.
