Chapter 13

It felt as ice was surrounding us; the tension was so thick in the chilly air. We parked in the driveway, the tension only increasing. I wanted to jump out of the car and run away; I've always hated being in situations like these.

To make it even worse, Liam wouldn't look at any of us. He kept staring out the window, even though we were stopped. The body guards were not exactly very happy with us at the moment but I don't blame them.

"Can everyone leave so I can talk to Danielle?" Liam's words seemed forced, which I'm guessing they were.

By the look on Dani's face, I knew she was scared. I gave Dani's hand a squeeze; she was sitting beside me. She took a sharp intake of air and gave me an unsure look.

"Come up to me after, promise?" I whisper sturdily into her ear, making sure she had heard me.

She nodded her head and looked at the lads. I got out of the car first, signaling the other boys to come out. Biting my lip, I walked inside the house with the others following me.

Perrie footsteps fell in place with mine as we walked up the pathway. Right away, I took a seat on the couch. Now my hands were slightly shaking, my heart pounding in my chest.

Since Perrie sat on one side of me; Louis took the other. A frown was on his pink lips. I couldn't help but to wonder as to what Liam was saying. Plus, I wonder how Danielle is dealing with everything.

As we sat in quiet, I couldn't help but to worry about her. Is she going to be okay? Or course she is, maybe just not at the exact moment. Another thought that ran through my mind was that what if she did leave? My heart pained at the thought.

"Babe, hello?" Louis was waving a hand in front of my face, trying to gain my attention.

I shook my head to clear my head, looking at him in the eyes. It was hard to concentrate on anything when your mind is boggling with questions and thoughts.

"Yeah?" I quirk my head to the side in curiosity.

"I asked if you were alright," he chuckles, putting his arm over my shoulder.

I sighed, leaning my head on his shoulder. I didn't say anything because I simply didn't want to talk about it. Perrie sighed loudly from beside me.

Soon after, everyone was huddled on the small couch. We all were waiting and all of us were nervous. We heard the door opening and only Liam walked in. He looked like he was about to cry. My heart clenched and tears sprung to my eyes.

"What happened, Liam?" Zayn speaks softly, looking at Liam's now broken frame.

I instantly felt bad for putting all the blame on him; it wasn't completely his fault. He was just jumping to conclusions before she could say anything.

"We broke up, it was for the best. She's getting dropped off at her house," Liam replied, barely able to contain his tears, "I'll be upstairs," he mumbled, leaving the room.

She promised she would come back! I need her! I jumped up from my spot and ran out the door, ignoring the people calling my 'name.'

I searched for the limo but it was gone; she was gone. One of my friends, who had helped me through everything, was gone. I slumped my shoulders and walked back inside. Louis rushed over to me, spinning me around in his arms.

"Don't do that again, El," he whispers nervously, taking a huge breath.

I shrug weakly, "Sorry," I say sheepishly, "I'm going to go upstairs, why don't you guys don't watch a movie?" I suggest to them after a minute.
