Chapter One Hundred

I felt something lift my right hand into the air, but I was too determined to keep sleeping that I didn't care to see what it was.

I felt another thing brush against the back of my hand, then move to my wrist. The movement continued up my arm until it reached my shoulder, and I finally opened my eyes. I felt his breath against my skin before he kissed my neck, and I smiled before biting my lip.

His arm went around my waist, and he pulled me against him, my bare back against his equally bare chest.

"Good morning, darling," he chuckled, and kissed my neck again.

If there was anything that I would love to have wake me up every morning, it would definitely be his voice. That, and just the way that he says 'darling'.

I reached down and held his hand in mine, then turned so that I was on my back and looking over at him. The sheet was still covering me, while he was laying on top of it with only his arm under it to hold me close to him.

"Good morning," I smiled.

He grinned, which only made me smile more. His smile was perfection and contagious.

I inhaled through my nose, then laughed a little. "Elijah, you didn't have to make breakfast."

"Well, I did," he chuckled. "Besides, I am a far better cook than you are and you know it."

I feigned a hurt expression at his joke, and he smirked a little. He sat up in the bed, then got up and walked around it. He headed to the kitchen, and as he did, I took the time to admire the fact that his pants were hanging incredibly low on his waist.

The night before had been perfect. That was the only way to describe it. Even so, we must have had a lot of wine afterwards, because the night was fairly fuzzy. I looked around, and that was when I realized I wasn't in my bed. I was in his. It appeared that we had moved around a bit.

I decided that I needed to wear something to walk around, so I grabbed one of Elijah's shirts. I slipped it on and made sure I was covered up. It was so large that it hung off of me and went down to my mid-thigh. I rolled up the sleeves, then got out of bed and headed towards his kitchen.

He was using tongs to put bacon onto a plate, and he glanced over at me. He did a double take, and I knew it was because I was wearing his shirt.

"Sorry," I said, biting my lip, suddenly feeling self conscious under his stare. "There's a lot of windows, and I-"

"Don't apologize," he chuckled, pausing and setting the tongs down. Then he looked at me, his stare lingering. He licked his lips, then smiled. "You just look beautiful."

I bit my lip again with a smile, feeling my cheeks begin to redden.

I went over to him and took a piece of bacon off of the pile. I took a bite, and practically moaned from how good it was.

Elijah wasn't big on human food. He had coffee and tea a lot, but other than that, pretty much only blood except on a special occasion. I, on the other hand, being technically half human, needed human food. It was a kind gesture that he made it just for me, seeing how he didn't seem to want any for himself.
