I heard a giggling come from Lucas office as I made my way to it. It sounded like Xavienna giggling. It made my eyebrows forward together in confusion. I walked up to the door and turned the knob and walked in.

Lucas was at his chair and leaned back on it and had a big smile on his face. Xavienna was sitting in one of the chair and drinking something that looked like tea. She was still giggling as she said, "Morning Dorinda. You looked pretty.", she said, holding out her arm towards my outfit.

I looked down at my black jeans, white t-shirt, and converse. "Pretty? I'm wearing a t-shirt and plain jeans.",

"You still look pretty.", she said.

"Um...thank you.", I said, a little awkwardly. "Did Lucas tell you?", I asked.

She nodded her head and smiled, "Yes and thank you. It means a lot for you to convince him to help.",

I leaned on the door frame on my shoulder, "It's no problem. Are you going to go today?",

She nodded, "Yes.",

"We'll be back in a few hours, Doe.", Lucas said.

I got up from the frame and walked up to him, "About that, Lucas, I was wondering if I could-",

His smile drop, "No.",

I stomp my foot and groaned, "Come on! Please!",

He shook his head, "No, it's dangerous. Even, you told me last night you wont do this again.",

"No, I said I meant I wont go behind you back and do it again! We never agreed if you help, I couldn't come.", I whined.

Lucas face dropped in shock, "Damnit!", he growled.

I smirked, "See, you have to let me come.",

He got up from the chair, "No, I do not. You're staying here.",

I frowned at him, "Lucas, please-",

"No.",

Like a child, I stomp my foot again and yelled, "Ugh, this is so messed up!", I yelled and turned around and walked out of the room. I froze when I was a few steps away and walked back to the door, "You only don't want me to go cause I'm human! It would be a whole different story if I was a vampire!",

"That is not true-",

"Yes it is!", I yelled. "I may be human, Lucas, but I can do many thing you can be surprised. Sure, I can't glamour people or fly, but I can be a look out. You both need someone to watch out and I can do that! But no! You have to keep treating me like a child!",

"I'm treating you like my fiencee! I want to make sure your safe.", he said. "Lord, are you that stubborn? You want to go that bad?", he asked, annoyed.

"Yes!", I screamed. Isn't it totally obvious and been saying for the thousand time or is he finally getting to the point?

He pressed his lips together tightly and he made a fist. He slammed it down on the table, "Fine. But you don't go ten feet away from me. I have to make sure I can see every second or next thing I know, you'll be the next to be kidnapped...again.",

Well, that was shocking. Did Lucas really just say I could come? That was sort of fast. I lifted my chin up in the air a little, "I can deal with that.",

He shook his head at me and said, "Xavienna, can I have a minute alone with Dorinda.",

Xavienna got up from the chair, "Sure. I'll go grabbed the stuff and meet you two out back.",

He nodded his head, "Okay.",

Xavienna put her hand on my shoulder and leaned in, "Great job in making him to let you come.", she whispered and grinned at me. She walked out the room than, leaving me alone with an angry Lucas.
