Someone knocked on my door and I told whoever it was to come in. I saw Xavienna step in and she gave me a small smile. She walked over to my bed and lift her hand up, "Hey. Where are the twins?",

"Grandparents house. My mom wanted them over, giving me a day off.", I told her. I looked at her stomach before looking up at her, "How are you?",

"Good.", she said, placing her hand on her stomach. "Seven months already, but still got a while to go. It's a boy.",

I smiled, "Really? Do you know what your going to name him?",

She nodded, "Yes. Hermes.",

I raised an eyebrow, "Like the Greek god Hermes?",

She nodded, "Yes, but in Gardenia, he was real. He was a strong solider and one of the fastest and strongest. He died honorably in battle.",

"Oh.", I said. "Well, that's a good choice.",

She nodded then looked down at the floor. She looked up a minutes later, "Dorinda, I don't want there to be awkwardness between us again. What happen yesterday was surprising to me to. Lucas is really acting like himself he use to be back then. It was so weird. So I'm saying if you want me to stay as far as away from him as possible, I will.",

I stared up at her for second, looking at her serious face. I closed my eyes for a second before opening them, "I would be lying if I said I didn't want that before. I was really jealous, but the way you acted yesterday let me know you didn't want him, but it still hurt to see him like that. I can't make you stay away from him since you will be living here, but--but please, don't let him kiss you or anything.",

"Of course.", she said without hesitation. "It's kind of weird to see him like that, though. He's talking and acting like we're still married. It's kind of weird to be around him like that.",

"Well, me trying to convince him that I'm his wife now is working. He's in denial. I'm trying to make him fall in love with me again, but it's so hard. I went to the kitchen last night and he was there-drunk. We talked and I kind of got drunk to. We kissed, but then he quickly left. I haven't seen him since then.", I told her.

"Oh, well if I could help in anyway, I will.", she said. She sat down on the bed and placed her hands on her lap properly. "I'm fully committed to become your lady-in-waiting until I have to go back.", she said, smiling at me.

"Lady in what?", I asked, raising an eyebrow. "And aren't you suppose to be here as a maid?",

She grinned, "You really think Lucas would make me clean up? To him I'm a princess still and has ordered me to do nothing. And a lady-in-waiting is where I'm like your own personal slave, but for a nicer way of saying it, companion. I will attended everywhere you go and I'll be here for you if you need anything or just need to talk to.",

"Really?", I asked and she nodded. "I have nothing really to do until a few hours then I have to get ready for this party one of the governors are having for me and Lucas children. I don't know if he's still going, but I have to. Is that something?",

She nodded, 'Yup. I can help you prepare for it. I may be an ex-guard for the royal family, but I do know how to pick the right dress and use a curling iron.", she said, smiling proudly. "I promise I'll make you look beautiful, Dorinda.",

I chuckled, "Well, thanks.", I said and the it got silent quickly. Awkwardness filled the air and we looked around for something to do. "Soooo," I said, "It's really boring right now. If you want to go do something, you can.",

"Well, actually, I saw this pool in the lower wings. Wanna go swimming? I can sit on the edge and have my feet in the water", she asked.

I chuckled, "Yeah, sure.", I said as I got up and went over to a draw. I grabbed my red bikini.
