Zi-0 ran down the hall. He huffed as he came to a stop near spores. The large Irinaut looked about. His mind was racing as he looked around in a rather odd manner. The closer the spores came, the more hesitant he was to go through. The large creature yelled as he backed up and looked about. When he saw a ledge leading to another floor, he bent his legs and jumped. He placed his palm on Luna's mouth with a quick concern. 'Hold your breath.'

Luna was still in his arms. Zi-0 had a tight grip on her as he ran. None the less she was in a state of shock. Zi-0 was a dangerous being, but oddly enough, the most he had hurt Luna thus far was with his grip and a few teeth marks on her neck, "P-Put me down!" She screamed, but when he had spoke to her, the girl immediately hushed. Not by choice, but mostly because his hand pressed firmly into her mouth to keep her hushed.

He was avoiding the spores, but why? The closer the spores got, the louder a strange noise became. It was more so like a ringing that you got after swimming. It wanted to be heard. Luna didn't understand why he was fleeing from them as quickly as a human would. Of course, she had no intentions of asking.

Zi-0 finally came to a open door. He crouched down and made is way in. The creature dropped Luna and slammed the door quite quickly, 'They didn't see us,' He mumbled, 'The ancients are sleeping again.' His noises clicked as he took a step back from the door. The large creature walked around the room in a frantic manner; he began to check for any open vent holes and quickly closed them off with the buttons.

Luna stumbled back quickly from him. She quickly bolted towards the second door, away from Zi-0 as he fought to close off the vents and keep what ever it was from getting in out. The blonde bolted down the hall; not thinking about anything except getting away from the Irinaut. The girl had no intentions of looking back. She wanted away from him. At this point, that was the only thing on her mind.

Luna made the first turn she saw; quickly getting out of his point of view. Though, as she ran down the hall, she could hear Zi-0 calling to her. She ran quickly. She didn't understand why he hadn't killed her, but he had kept her away from the spores. Though, she didn't care at this point.

'Where are you going?' Zi-0 screeched as he ran down the wall after Luna. Though, he was quiet. His steps were silent as he went down the hall. The male's clearly knew how to sneak. When he came upon Luna in the hall, he stretched his legs up like a dog on it's hind legs. 'Stop!'

"I'm not stopping! Go away!" Luna was absolutely terrified. The young girl didn't know what else to do but run, but his voice was getting closer. Luna turned to glance. Truly she was unable to stop herself, and what she saw, was horrifying.

The girl sulked, tripping over his feet as Zi-0 jumped over her. She rolled, falling with a harsh thud into the ground. The girl winced as she hit with a rough thud.

'Move!' He jumped over her. Zi-0 slammed back against a wall, but not into Luna, but another Irinaut. Zi-0 rolled with the smaller Irinaut. The two of them brawled. Both of them roared, hissing about as they snapped at one other with their expanded mouths.

Luna hit the ground. The girl stumbled to get up as she watched the two of them roll with each other. The smaller one squealed beneath Zi-0. Her eyes were wide as she watched the two of them. She got up, quickly turning and trying to go the other way.

'Luna, move!' He snarled as the smaller Irinaut reached for her; grabbing a hold of her leg and quickly yanking her down towards him. Zi-0 grabbed a hold if the leech like appendages on the other's head. The smaller one screeched.

'Stop! You found her! She needs to go back!' Before he could finish, the smaller Irinaut's neck was broken almost in a instant when he attempted to grab a hold Luna. Clearly Zi-0 wasn't having any to do with the smaller Irinaut touching Luna.

Luna didn't get far. Once he had taking his hold back on her, Zi-0 pulled her back into a room and quickly sealed the door tight. The large male held his hand up and pulled his fist closed, pulling a few pieces of furniture in front of it to seal it off. Zi-0's breathing was harsh. The large male placed his hand on his head; falling back with a rough thud. Zi-0's legs sprawled out as he held Luna in place. The room was dark, and silent. The only visible light was Zi-0's appendages on the side of his head letting off their vibrant blue and red glow. His eyes, did the same. Their colors danced in blues, greens, and yellows in a pulsing manner.

Luna was frozen as he breathed. The gill like holes on his neck took in quite a bit of air; giving him a quite deep breathing sound. The small girl couldn't believe his size. Truly he was quite large compared to her. In some ways, Zi-0 really did look human.

_______

For nearly a hour, the two of them were silent. Neither one if them spoke a word, nor did they even acknowledge each other. Zi-0 hadn't even attempted to speak to Luna since the two of them had made it inside the room.

The blonde's heart felt as if it were going to burst from her chest. She shook her head lightly before leaning forward; attempting to draw herself back from him. Of course, he denied her wishes; quickly grabbing a hold of her forearm and pulling her back against him, "Zi-0, please let go of me. I-I swear I won't tell them where you are. I-if you just let me go back to them,"

Zi-0 sneered his lip lightly. The Irinaut rolled his eyes in clear frustration as the small girl attempted to pull away from him. The male reached his hand down and grabbed her chin. Zi-0 leaned forward and took a deep breath, 'You're not going back to them,' He cocked his head lightly; letting out a deep huff, 'I'll keep you safe.'

Luna gasped as his hand took hold of her chin. The girl leaned back quickly, but Zi-0's firm grip kept her held easily in place. The female's cheeks flushed as she looked over Zi-0. Even if he was a alien, the way he acted was quite human. Luna though, had become rather drawn to him. His eyes were such a vibrant color, and the special glows that let off him were truly a lovely sight. Even if his mouth oddly split up to his cheek bone, giving him a smile that couldn't be removed.

Luna grabbed his arm and pushed against it. The shook her head stubbornly as she attempted to shift back from him, "Let go, Zi-0!"

Though, he still refused, merely looking over her with a curious stare. The slits of his eyes dilated as he let out a low murr. 'My name is Zio, what is your again, Luna?' He spoke casually as if he were trying to distract Luna from other things. His voice echoed through her head as he leaned forward and gave a stubborn hiss, 'Stop fighting me.' His mouth drew open as he leaned down towards Luna and yelled. The large male huffed before leaning back and pulling her against him, 'Just calm down.'

The blonde sulked as he roared into her face. Truly he had a much more ghastly features if he chose to show it. He seemed to prefer looking human with his jeans and physical features. Though he was much different with his appendages on his head, his pale blue skin, and his reptilian like eyes, and his small nostrils on his face along with his fish like gills on the sides of his neck that seemed to keep a constant pulse.

When he asked her who she was, Luna tensed. He seemed to have as many questions about her as she did for herself. Luna didn't recall anything until she had awoke aboard the ship. She had no recollection of anything that had happened before waking in her pod, "Z-Zio? I'm sorry for fighting you, but you're hurting me. W-why did you kill that other Irinaut? Surely you'd rather rip me apart." The blonde's golden eyes lit up as she leaned back from him nervously, "You need to let me go back to Professor Jewel and Reed. Why won't you just let me go?" She was becoming frustrated. Her eyes swelled with tears as she tried to struggle against him a bit more, but once she was rested against his chest, Luna suddenly felt a but of relief. Why was he so different from the other's? What made him not kill her?

'I couldn't hurt you. I can't let anyone hurt you.'

"Why, Zio? What does it matter?"

'You woke me up.'
