Chapter Thirty-Nine: The Panel

"Alright, move it! Straight line, go!" Captain Strong gestured for the trio of Irinaut's to follow, "We have to get out there while the night is young." Strong turned and walked out and waited at the door entrance. The man was well armored and seemed very well prepared to go out. Though he didn't have a scratch on him or his shiny white metal suit. Cocky, it seemed. Though the other soldiers were all very concerned and seemed much more timid to go out on to the planet.

"Get your fuckin' hands off me before I break em' in two and I shove them up your arse!" Bruno was suddenly shoved in. The red headed male stumbled as he was pushed inside the room with the group. He winced as he gripped on to the tattered white cloth drenched in red. The man groaned before attempting to stand.

"Bruno? Jesus christ!" She ran towards him quickly before grabbing his arm and helping him up. Jewel looked towards the soldier's and yelled, "Bastards!" Jewel pulled a hanker chief from her lab pocket before beginning to clean up the beaten man, "Why did you try to fight them? Don't you think you would of been better off?"

Bruno smiled lightly. The man shook his head, "Shit, I was more concerned about pissing you off, Boss." The red headed male grinned before blowing her a kiss, "I prefer that pretty face over that fuckers mug!" He looked down at Jewel, even reaching down to touch her cheek, "You alright, darlin'?"

Jewel pushed his hand away, seeming flustered as she turned her head, "Dammit, you silly brute, you could of gotten yourself killed!" The brunette had turned a crimson red, seeming to mumble softly before looking up at him, "I'm glad you're alright, Bruno."

'She likes him.' Fex let out a loud cackle. One thing that was clear when these beings laughed, the noise could be heard clearly. The dark blue male pointed at the two of them, but suddenly found himself winded.

Zio and Luna had nearly simultaneously slammed the back if their hands into his stomach. Both glared up at him, and as quickly as he started to laugh, it had stopped at the drop of a pin inside the room. Luna and Zio both were telling him.

'Be quiet!'

'Shut up, dumbass!'

"It's time to go." Reed came inside the room. He looked at Jewel and the other's, "Armor has been prepared in the lower quarters for you all to put on. You'll receive shock rods to fend off leeches, and no more. So I suggest you don't waste these." He looked towards Luna and the alpha's, "The Irinauts, both of you in the front with your Yeti's. Lead the way."

Luna took a step forward, "What do you mean they're going? Why can't they stay here in the ship?"

"You really think we're going to let you go down there without our help, Luna?" Jewel looked over at her and smiled, "No way I'm letting these assholes protect you. They can't do anything else right."

Luna's finger's felt numb. Her lip twitched as she grimaced and quickly looked down as she gritted her teeth. As Jewel hugged her, Luna clung back as she braced herself to her, "Jewel you all don't have to do this."

"We came here because of you Luna. You brought us here and if you think any of us are going to just let you go, no. You gave everyone of your friends in this room hope of a new beginning on the Solar Sun, and I couldn't ask for more of a adventure. We know how the leeches work. If anything goes wrong, maybe we can be of help."

Luna nodded quickly, but as another yell was heard, the two male Irinaut's had let out a roar. As well as the Yeti's who stood behind Fex. No one was putting up with anyone's aggression to Luna. That was made obvious rather sudden. The blonde quickly moved to the door and went out. Captain Strong stood next to her; looking over her with a raised brow. Fex and Zio both growled lowly before pulling her back behind them.

Captain Strong smirked a bit before rolling his eyes. He put his gun in it's holster before beginning to walk, "We'll take the stairs. I'd rather not be in close quarter's with Fex." He held up his remote, "Come on then."

Bruno followed them out with the other's, seeming to hear what Strong had to say. The red haired male gave Fex a light tap on his arm, "Don't worry Fex, he's doin' ya a favor. That fucker smells worse then the socks in the bottom of my basket."

"Why do we have to go out at night?" Luna tilted her head curiously. Once downstairs, everyone had put on armor. Everyone had steel armor. Luna's was gold with blue lights that wrapped around her neck and down her chest. She glanced up at Zio as her head tilted to the side.

Zio and Fex stood on the normal wear. Being as large as they were, finding armor was difficult, but even so, both refused anything they were given. They knew what waited on the outside, and it didn't seem to phase them as much as their worries for the hybrid queen did.

Zio looked about as the soldier's prepared a outside terrain vehicle. It was rather large with a double inclined door. The wheel's were as tall as the alphas. On the sides of the vehicle were panel's flipped with bars wedged comfortably into their own slots. The top was armed with two guns on either side, and the black steeled vehicle had a crest of a golden sun with a blue crest moon on the inside of it. At least a dozen soldiers were already inside and strapped in. Bruno was staying with the group. Everyone seemed nervous. Captain Strong was talking to Garrett, whom was armored and ready as well with Reed.

'Our star is rather hot, to say the least. Humans wouldn't be able to survive the day heats without some sort of protection. We spend most of out time underground.' Zio rubbed the back of his head; seeming to be a bit nervous, 'It's been a while since I've seen home.' The male huffed a bit before giving a shake of his shoulders and beginning to walk forward.

Fex gave Luna a light shove to get her moving towards the armored vehicle. His head was lowered as he walked behind her. The Yeti's were on either side of Luna, and Zio in the front. The alpha's obviously had no intention of leaving her without a guard.

Luna looked about as they walked. Her cheeks darkened as she walked up to Zio and whispered softly, "Zio, is this necessary? I-I'm sure I'd be fine."

'And let these imbecilies take a look at you in THAT armor?' Fex snickered, a grin running across his face, 'No way in hell.'

'Shut it, Fex.' Zio snarled a bit, 'Luna, you don't know what is out there, and these fuckers seem to not have scratched the surface. They're going into our territory now.'

Strong stepped in front of Zio before he could enter the vehicle. The man shook his head stubbornly, "Now, what do you think you're doing, Zi-0? X? You two are going to run the top guns and those beasts are going to cover the sides. Pretty girl, is going to sit shotgun with me during the ride." Captain Strong tapped the remote on his hip, "Or do I need to remind you who is in charge again?"

Luna pushed between the Yeti and Zio, "You're going to get them killed!" The girl's eyes were swelled with tears, her eyes widen and obviously fearful.

Fex sneered is lip, 'Fucker can't even get my name right and he wants to blow my head off.' The ruby eyed male pulled on the collar as a hiss escaped his throat, 'Luna, you'll be fine.' He walked up close to Zio and stood next to him. Both males leaned down as a snarl boiled in their throats. That was the only threat that needed to given.

"Prepare to close the airlock and prepare for exploration. Once we have been shut out, open the second hatch. Everyone, prepare for entry on the plains. Infrared is on and going. Scanner will pick up any heat signal's below the surface." Strong spoke out as he looked at Luna, "I hope your beasts pull through, Luna. I wouldn't want to use it on X-"

"Fex." Luna interrupted suddenly, "His name is Fex, alright?" The blonde moved away from him; finding herself in close, rather uncomfortable quarters. Her heart was racing. She wished she knew what Strong was thinking. Fex and Zio did, and neither or them were inclined to staying on the outside without Luna, but Zio did insist it was safer inside the vehicle, "They are more capable then you'll ever be, Strong."

Prepare for terrain! The Panel is leaving the Solar Sun.

"We'll see about that, Luna."
