The Last Ship (18+)

Chapter Seventeen: A Irinaut's Temper.

The female couldn't believe what he had said. Luna rolled her eyes lightly as she brought herself up from him and mumbled. She stood quietly as she heard Reed tap on the window. She looked at him curiously, "What are you doing?"

The curtains opened, and on the other side, Captain Strong and Doctor Garrett stood. Bruno and two other men stood with guns; ready to shoot in case of any accidents. They all seemed nervous about the matter.

Doctor Garrett walked up to window, "Before this door opened, understand that all precautions are being taken if your Irinaut decides to attack. Guns are ready, but we have one more request. Zi-0, we have given Professor Reed a collar to place on you and set. If you act up, Captain Strong has been given a switch. If you begin to act up, he has full authority to shock you. Now, it will do much more then just that if you decide to try and hurt someone." The Doctor walked up to Captain Strong, "The pulses that go through that collar are strong enough to fry your brain and those leeches on your head. I suggest keeping your mind clear, since you can understand us."

Zio growled lowly. The male rolled his eyes as he looked towards Reed, who was approaching him with the blue metal collar. He sat up before bringing himself to his feet and walking towards the door, 'Forget it!' He snarled, 'I'm not your pet.'

Luna quickly got between Zio and Reed as well as the door, "Zio! Stop!" She grabbed his arm as he moved forward. With his strength, she was jerked along with the Irinaut. She dug her feet into the floor, but as quickly as she had moved in, Zio had stopped to keep from hurting her. Luna shut her eyes tightly as she heard the men in the back telling Zio to stand his ground.

Zio looked at them. The male sneered his lip and lightly shook his head. He let out a low growl as he turned his attention from them. 'I'm not wearing it, Luna. I'm not their pet. This isn't what I had in mind.' The male crouched down in front of the female and placed his hands gently on her cheeks. He purred lightly as he turned his attention towards the people on the outside then back at Luna. The Irinaut let out a deep sigh before giving a light shake if his head, 'If that is what you wish, then I suppose I will wear it.' He looked back towards Luna and bowed his head, 'You put it on, not him.'

Luna gasped softly as Zio fell on his knees. She looked towards him and lightly tilted her head. As Zio agreed, the blonde gave a soft nodd and reached her hand out to Reed, "He said he'll wear it, Professor Reed, but he wants me to put it on for him." Luna looked at Reed and gave a light shake of her head, "He says he's not your pet."

Professor Reed was tense. The male gave a light nodd before reaching the female the collar. He let out a deep sigh as he set the collar and handed it to Luna, "Once it's on, it will lock and tight to the precise size to keep it touching his neck. It will not be removed until Captain Strong gives the authority. Understand that."

Doctor Garrett clicked the button, "The faster he puts it on, the quicker we can move you all to a more comfortable area." The Doctor adjusted his glasses before brushing his fingers through his hair. He let out a deep sigh and a light shake of his head.

Luna looked at him curiously. She shook her head nervously before putting the collar on him. As Reed had said, it quickly locked around the male's neck and tightened.

Zio winced; letting out a stubborn growl. He hissed at it and attempted to loosen it, but it locked, and wasn't moving. He looked about before giving a light nodd. The Irinaut shook his head stubbornly. He took a deep breath and quickly stood up. The male rolled his shoulders lightly as he stood next to Luna.

The door opened. Reed was quick to move next to Luna but wouldn't look at Zio. Bruno and the other gun men had their guns ready. They weren't risking it. They pointed the two of them down to a elevator and and quickly got them in.

Zio stood in the corner. Luna got in, unsure of how many people were going to get in. The men began to pour in and hold their guns to Zio's head as before. Luna stumbled as she was shoved about. All were to focused on Zio to keep a watch around Luna. The blonde moved back in the corner against Zio.

The male hadn't hesitated to grab a hold of Luna and try to pull her back from him, "Keep back from it, Luna. We don't know what he is capable of."

Luna pulled against the man with the gun, "Knock it off! He isn't doing anything." Her eyes lit up a bit. She sneered her lip. The blonde pulled her arm back and stumbled back against Zio.

Zio grabbed a hold of her and pulled her against him. He opened his mouth and let out a low growl, 'Touch her like that again and I won't think twice about biting your head off.' The male hissed as he leaned down and lifted Luna's chin. Though a loud zap could be heard. The Irinaut tensed and yelled out. He held his neck as a seering burn could be felt against it. He took a deep breath before looking towards Captain Strong.

"That is enough from all of you! Zi-0 I will not hesitate to burn your brain to bits do I make myself clear?" The door closed as they began to make their way down to the bottom floors away from the other people.

Luna shook her head stubbornly, "Z-Zio!" She reached her hand up and placed it on his neck. The blonde lifted his chin to observe his neck, "That burned him! If you're going to treat him like a monster then he's going to act like one! Wouldn't you?" Luna reached in her pocket for the medicine that Jewel had left them with. She rubbed it gently on his neck, "Calm down. They're just to cocky for their own good."

Zio winced. The male fell silent as she cleaned up his neck. The male groaned before giving a light shake of his head. He pulled Luna closely against him as they went down to the apartments floor that would be only the two of them.

As the doors opened, Reed walked out. Jewel, Ian, and Sam were all waiting. They waved at the three of them.

Jewel led them out, but only Zio, Luna, and Reed. The others, stayed in the ship, and were sent back up. Jewel let out a soft sigh before smiling at Luna and Zio. "Follow me, I want to show you to your new home for the time being."
