The Last Ship (18+)

Chapter Sixteen: A Chat.

Zio and Luna laid quietly in the room. The Irinaut male seemed to be listening to everything that was said outside the curtains. After everyone had left except for the usual guard to go sleep for the night, Zio seemed to become more at ease. The Irinaut had refused to let go of Luna. He didn't seem interested in being alone in the room. The male took a deep breath as he sulked back, 'It's quiet.' He mumbled, 'I wonder when they're going to kill me.' Zio shifted in the bed as he pulled Luna closely to his chest.

The female gasped softly. She grabbed a hold of his shoulder as he pulled her up. Luna looked at him curiously before shaking her head lightly, "If they kill you, then they have to kill me as well. I won't let them do this to you. It isn't fair." She shrugged lightly before laying up against him. The girl shivered a bit before she looked up at him. "I won't help them if they hurt you." Luna sighed softly. The Irinaut did still scare her, but he refused to let go of her. The blonde felt he wouldn't hurt her, but with his size, that didn't mean it couldn't be accidental.

Zio's brow raised. He shrugged lightly before leaning in and giving the female a light nuzzle against her cheek. The male shook his head lightly before letting out a soft purr, 'You would protect me? You're meant to be protected my queen. Not me.' Zio seemed to still refer to Luna as his queen. He lightly brushed his cheek against hers and lightly growled.

Luna gave a light shove into the beast's chest, "You saved me, I owe you as much as you owe me now. If you're going to be watching my back, then I'm doing the same for you." Luna shifted a bit. She pulled her legs against her chest and sat quietly for a moment, "We're in this together now." She stated as she looked up at him, "If you don't let anything happen to me, then I won't let anything happen to you." Luna smiled lightly as she pulled her legs under her on the long bed. She looked up at him before holding out her pinky, "Promise?"

Zio tensed. He lightly cocked his head before mimicking Luna's hand movement. The male seemed quite confused, but followed her lead. 'I promise.'

Luna wrapped her pinky around his finger. She smiled lightly as the two of them began to calm down. The blonde smiled happily as she lightly tilted her head, "Now, no more of that locking you were talking about. Alright?"

Zio's eyes became slit at her mention of it. He rolled his eyes before giving a stubborn shrug, 'Why not? I'm sure you would find it quite pleasing. I am an alpha, my queen. I'm made for reproducing perfect offspring.' Zio pulled her closely before letting out a soft grunt. He growled lightly as he brushed his fingers against her cheek. The male leaned in and lightly pressed a tender kiss against her cheek.

Luna's cheeks darkened. She pulled herself back from him, suddenly finding herself underneath Zio as he quickly shifted above her, "Oof!" The golden eyed female sneered her lip lightly before attempting to pull back, "Zio, stop calling me your queen. I'm just Luna. I've told you that already." She shifted under him before giving a light shrug, "It's suppose to be a special moment." Luna rubbed her shoulder lightly. Her cheeks darkened as she sunk down from him as he leaned closer. Luna brought her hand up and placed it against his cheek, "It isn't safe here."

Zio leaned closer. His vibrant green and yellow eyes lit up as she rubbed his cheek. The male purred softly before leaning closely and looking.at the female with utter curiosity, 'Let me make it a special moment, Luna. Shared between just the two of us for eternity.' Zio nuzzled tenderly against her. He rubbed her cheek gently before smiling down at her. The Irinaut leaned closely as he large hand ran over her upper thigh, 'When you kiss me, is when I'll lose control.' Zio leaned closely; their lips nearly locking with one another's once again. The male's sex drive was beyond belief it seemed. Of course, being in a zombified state for so long and awakening to a queen would leave anyone ready to "lock" like in Zio's case.

Luna's eyes widened as Zio inched closer to her. She sulked nervously as he spoke to her. The female's cheeks darkened as Zio's thoughts intertwined with hers. Truly it was the strangest thing that she had ever felt. Luna felt that she knew more about Zio then he did himself, but it seemed to go both ways, "Zio, you can't. I'm scared." Luna's heart truly felt as if it were about to burst from her chest, but as Zio leaned closer the girl felt she couldn't resist. She leaned closer to him; attempting to lock her lips with his, when suddenly the curtains opened and lit up the room.

"Luna! Zi-0, good morning.' Reed's brow raised as he saw the two in such a odd position. He brushed his shoulders off. The Professor turned his head another way quietly; unsure of what to say. Jewel had told him to expect this, so the male kept quiet. "We studied your samples and you both seem to be clean of any sort of sickness from the spores. Once you two are more, woken, we'll be transferring you to a closed wing of the ship. You'll have your own complex to stay in with one another until we can get things sorted out. Until then, why don't you two hold off from any, funny business?" Reed was quite a serious man. His brow raised as he closed the curtain back. The male hadn't expected to see the two in mid kiss. For him, that was a bit more proof that he could trust the Irinaut.

Zio laughed; making a odd sound as he did. He glanced down at the flustered female before lightly cocking his head. The Irinaut leaned down and lightly grabbed her arm, 'You want to do some funny business?'
