Nadine's POV

I nodded and set aside the pen and diary that I was holding. Since last week, I've been writing all of my thoughts, my feelings and everything that comes to my mind on that journal. Sabi kasi ng therapist kong si Mrs. Torres, it's better to express my emotions through writing kesa magmukmok na lang ako dito sa kwarto. Kapag malungkot, masaya, naghihinagpis o kahit ano pa man ang nararamdaman ko, it's better na ilabas ko daw instead na kimkimin. And I have to admit, I feel a whole lot better when I write everything down. In a way, I'm slowly letting go of the pain and sadness that I'm feeling ever since Mom and Dad's deaths.

"Good afternoon po, Tito."

He nodded in acknowledgement. "I see that you're getting better."

I managed a smile. "Mrs. Torres has been very helpful po.

He nodded. "Sige, maupo ka na. May kailangan pa tayong pag-usapan."

I couldn't help but stare at him. "Transfer? Bakit naman po ako lilipat ng school?"

He gave me a sympathetic look. "I know that it's a lot to take in, pero this is for your own good Nadine. Now that your parents are gone, wala nang iba pang mag-aasikaso ng kumpanya nila kundi ikaw at ang Kuya Drew mo. Of course, your father's company automatically falls into your brother's hands. Hindi na rin natin poproblemahin yung pag-manage doon since Drew has already received business training. Pero there's still your mother's company that we have to settle about. And there's no other person who could inherit it other than you."

"Pero why do I have to transfer?" I insisted.

And the best way to train you is to take you to America and have your Tita Elaine teach you. If at best, you'll be homeschooled para mas matutukan natin ang business."

All I could do was nod. There's was nothing else I could say. Nothing else I could do. After all, tama naman talaga si Tito Leo. Without Mom and Dad, there's no one else who had the right to manage their companies.

Pero what about my life here? My friends? Sina Jasmine? Pati na rin sina Andrew? They've all been so supportive and helpful to me especially after my parents' deaths. I don't want to leave so suddenly right after they've helped me so much. Ayokong mawalay sa kanila.
