My Boyfriend by ACCIDENT [SPLIT - PART I PUBLISHED UNDER LIFEBOOKS]

Author's Note [Must Read]

First and foremost, maraming maraming maraming salamat sa lahat ng mga nagbasa, nagsubaybay at nagtangkilik sa story na ito! Mere words are not enough to express how much I am thankful to all of you. Lance and Nadine are also grateful to all of you for supporting their love story!

So anyway, I posted this Author's Note mainly for three reasons: to thank you guys, to answer your questions, and to update you if there will be sequel/s and/or side stories and/or spin-offs.

To start:

*Bakit ganoon 'yong ending?

-Bakit? Umaangal kayo? Kasi sa totoo lang, hindi ko rin alam kung bakit ganoon 'yong ending e. HAHAHA.

Kidding aside, the ending is like that simply because I wanted it that way. I didn't want a typical ending for this story, and by "typical", I mean Nadine miraculously survives her condition, fully recovers, and lives happily ever after with her loved ones. It's not that I'm against that kind of scenario, I'm definitely not. I just wanted to end my story in a tragic yet heartwarming way. I wanted to create a story that would capture, break, and mend hearts. I wanted to give my readers a story that they will never forget. (Sorry dahil may pagka-sadista ako. HAHAHA.) Besides, in a sense, everyone still lived happily ever after, right?

And truth be told, I've always intended to give "My Boyfriend by ACCIDENT" a tragic ending. (First original story tapos tragedy kaagad. HAHAHA.) The story was inspired from Bianca Bernardino's (SGwannaB) "She's Dating the Gangster" and the Korean drama "You've Fallen for Me" / "Heartstrings".  I wanted to incorporate the giddiness that I felt with "Heartstrings" with the heartbreak that I experienced with SDTG, all the while adding my own twists and turns. Hence, "My Boyfriend by ACCIDENT" was born.

I know that a lot of you felt cheated because of that ending, and I'm very open to criticisms and rants. (Ilabas niyo na ang lahat ng mga hinanakit niyo. HAHAHA.) But please take note that AN INSULT IS DIFFERENT FROM CRITICISM. If you plan on badmouthing me or my story, then expect the consequences.

*Gagawa ba kayo ng alternate ending? ('Yong hindi tragedy.)

- I'm fully satisfied with the ending, so no. To make an alternate one completely defeats the purpose of the original. Pero kung hindi niyo talaga 'yon tanggap, pwedeng-pwede naman kayong gumawa ng sarili ninyo. Walang pumipigil sa inyo. HAHAHA.

*May sequel and/or side stories and/or spin-offs ba ang MBBA?

- May sequel ang "My Boyfriend by ACCIDENT", pero hindi na 'yon tungkol sa love story nina Nadine at Lance. Tungkol naman iyon sa anak nilang si Lyka Nadine Santiago at anak nina Jasmine at Clark na si Keith Jeric De Chavez. "Married by ACCIDENT" ang title no'n. Para sa mga interesado, i-click niyo lang 'yong external link sa baba para ma-direct agad sa story o hanapin niyo na lang sa list of works sa profile ko. Completed na rin 'yon.

May nakaplano rin akong pangatlo at huling book sa series, at "My Girlfriend by ACCIDENT" 'yong title. Kung gusto ninyong mabasa 'yon, hanapin niyo na lang din sa list of works sa profile ko. Ongoing at indefinite pa 'yong update schedule sa ngayon.

For MBBA side stories, there is "Mutually Unrequited", and it tells the love story of Andrea Lope and Austin Delos Santos. It is already completed and available on my profile. For spin-offs, there is "When I Was Your Man", which has the same content as MBBA (from Part I to Part II), but is told from Austin's point of view. It is also a prequel of "Mutually Unrequited". Ongoing at indefinite pa 'yong update schedule sa ngayon. Another spin-off, "To Get Her", also has the same content as MBBA (from Part I to first half of Part II), but is told from Lance's point of view. On-plan pa lang ito, at posibleng ma-post kapag matapos ko na ang "When I Was Your Man".

An extra book, entitled "Love at Its Finest", is a collection of special chapters. It is also available on my profile and will be updated on an irregular basis.
