-Chapter 36-

Carl (POV)

Boom

My head was aching and I couldn't feel my legs. My eyes were heavy but I could still hear everything around me. Someone was crying and others were fighting. It took all my energy to open up my eyes and when I finally did I couldn't understand what was going on: I was laying on a hospital bed.

"Jesus Carl! You're awake!" Fiona said and pulled me in for a hug followed by Debbie, Lip, Ian and little Liam.

"W-whats going on?"

"Oh you don't remember?" Lip said lighting up a cigarette

"Stop that we're in a hospital" Debbie said and took it off hand

"You crashed Carl" Fiona told me

Memories of what happened came running through my mind. I remember being really angry and sad so I wasn't paying attention to the road.

"Wait! My legs! I can't feel them, am-am I paralyzed?"

"No you're not you dumb fuck" Debbie told me

"It's the pain killers don't worry" Fiona added

There was a moment of silence and my attention was caught by something pretty particular

"W-where's Bree?" I asked

Everybody was looking at each other and then facing the floor and fidgeting with their fingers

"Come on! It's someone gonna tell me or not?"

"She, uh, she" Ian hesitated

"She's in juvie man" Lip said

"Police caught her on a drug deal" Liam spoke up

Then verything was clear. I remembered perfectly everything that happened back then. I finally understood why I was so unfocused when I crashed: she turned herself in for me.

"No this can't be posible"

"Carl, you had anything to do with it?" Fiona asked in her worried motherly tone

"Yeah, she saved me"

"Jesus christ Carl!" Fiona said

"I need to go get her" I said while jumping out of bed and running through the hall

"Seems like his legs work now" Lip said

"It's called love dude" Ian answered

-

Fiona took us back home so we could get ready for Bree's trial. Once we were all done we headed to see her.

"I need to speak to Breeana, she was brought in last night" I told the desk lady

"Are you her lawyer"
