Yuzu's POV

Despite feeling bad for asking (Y/N)-chan especially in her current condition, no thanks to my competitive side and the slow-mo replay of Shoma's accident, I was sure of myself to go out there and compete in Shoma's place. I asked (Y/N)-chan again whether she brought her SEIMEI costume or not to which she turned and looked at me with a confused face at first but nodded right when she saw me straight in the eyes as if she knew why I asked her that question. After she nodded, she immediately pointed towards one of her luggages which I didn't question and went towards her luggage to check and found the SEIMEI costume that was originally mine but was slightly modified for (Y/N)-chan. I then took out my phone to call my manager to get my backup skates which I normally bring with me despite not for shows or anything else and bring them to the Asian Winter Games figure skating arena. Without questioning me, my manager said that she will call someone to pick me up from the hospital and that she'll meet me at the arena within 30 minutes as well as informing the staff and the ISU about me coming. After calling and thanking my manager, (Y/N)-chan immediately talked which now looking at her I feel bad for leaving her.

"You're going to go compete, aren't you?" (Y/N)-chan asked, in her soft tone without looking at me in any sort of reaction

"(Y/N)-chan...I am so sorry that it is all so sudden but..." I said as (Y/N)-chan suddenly cuts me off by saying something that shocked me quite a bit

"It's alright Yuzu, I understand. You're doing this for the sake of your country and not for your self pleasure especially when you're currently taking a 'break' this season. Go Yuzu, I'll be fine here. You go and make sure that Shoma is alright at the same time don't go too far alright Yuzu. The whole reason you're taking a 'break' this season is for your health and to train for the Olympic season remember?" (Y/N)-chan said, talking softly while smiling

"(Y/N)-chan...I promise I won't do anything reckless. You just leave Shoma and the competition to me and just rest alright? I will be back very soon, I promise you" I said, going over to (Y/N)-chan and kissed her forehead softly before going out the door

"Eh...Yuzu...just be back in one piece without causing any drama. Also!! Can you get me some snacks on your way back here? Or at least mochi? Also, let me help you with the costume, just get me a scissor or we can use the scalpel (lol)" (Y/N)-chan said, her cheeks flushing a light shade of pink as I went to get her a scissor

"Heh, sure thing (Y/N)-chan. You rest up alright? I'll be back before you know it. And if anything happens or you need something, don't be afraid to call me alright?" I said as (Y/N)-chan was fixing the costume for me

"Of course Yuzu. But no need to worry, nothing will happen. I'll just stay here and cheer you on. Here's your costume, go and try it on first so we can modify one more time just in case" (Y/N)-chan said while smiling and handing me my costume

"Alright, hold on a second (went for a quick change) this is actually fine. I don't feel the need to pin or change anything else. Thank you so much (Y/N)-chan" I said, going over to hug her a bit tighter than usual but not as tight and kissed the side of her head

"Go Yuzu and please take care of your health. Remember that just because you didn't do any intense training and all your jumps are being quite consistent, that does not mean that you should do an insane program alright? Remember why you took a break this season ok?" (Y/N)-chan said, giving me a slight smile

"I promise (Y/N)-chan, I'm leaving now. Call me if you need anything. Bye-bye" I said, smiling and walking out the room as (Y/N)-chan smiled back while waving

Once I closed the door, my expression immediately shifted to a very serious face as I know that I was going to compete after almost a season of not competing and that I was leaving (Y/N)-chan all alone. I then told the guards to guard the room and to not let anyone in except for me, Shoma, Boyang and the doctor. I told them that not even her "coach" is allowed in the room and with that I left the hospital as my car came to pick me up and head towards the arena. As I was on my way, I listened to my SEIMEI recording while planning out the layout of my program since my old SEIMEI program was 4 minutes and 30 seconds but the current rules stated that the free program is allowed 4 minutes only. I then remembered (Y/N)-chan's program of SEIMEI and decided to somewhat follow her program and music cuts since I have the recording in my phone as well but change most of her triples into quads except for the triple axels. Not long after, I was informed that we have arrived to the arena. I then thanked the driver and went down towards the backstage door to meet up with my manager and the skating federation.
