Stay

They arrived at their house as the rain started to pour down really hard. Beam saw them come out and rushed towards the door.

"Why did you come home so late?! Go to your rooms have a warm shower. I will prepare tea and soup for you." She said as she pushes all three upstairs.

It was James who went down first. Beam gave him a cup of tea first while waiting for the soup. He went to sit on the sofa near to the big window. He looked out to the window as it rains. Nunew came down next. He saw James sitting alone looking sad so he went to him. He sat down next to him and put his head on his shoulder. James put his arms around him and gave him a light hug.

"Im sorry I couldnt do anything to help you." James sadly told him. He gave a loud sigh and kissed the top of Nunew'a head.

Nunew looked at him with worry in his eyes.
"Phi! Dont say that! You were there. You didnt leave me. Even when Hia arrived, you didnt even stand up. You were there. I knew you were there. I could hear you. It would have been worse if i was all alone." Nunew said to him. He then gave James a big hug.

James started tearing up.
"But I couldnt get you out. I felt so helpless looking at you suffering alone."

"Phi, I wasnt alone. You were there. I could feel you. The problem was my brain would only respond to Hia. And that is not your fault. It's because of the trauma we went through. It's not your fault. It will never be your fault." Nunew said as he holds James.
"Thank you for being there for me Phi. Thank you for not leaving me alone" Nunew softly told him. James just tucked his head on Nunew's shoulder as the younger one rubs his back.

Zee then came in with a tray. He gave placed a cup infront of Nunew. He then filled James' and Nunew's cup. He filled his cup last. He then moved to sit on the other side of James.

"You did well James. Im proud of you, you know. " he said as he pat James' head

"Thank you Phi" James turned so he can hug Zee who puts his arm around james. Nunew also hugged james. So he is now being sandwiched by Zee and Nunew.

"What is happening here? Are you boys okay?" Beam said as when she came in to tell them that the soup is ready.
The three boys just laughed.

"Yeah Ma, we're they are just keeping me warm" James sheepishly said.

"Well come on now, the soup will make you all warm." Beam told them as she opens the door for all three.
They finished their soup and even asked for second portions which Beam gladly gave them. She also gave some vitamins, just to make sure their immune system would still be up.

The boys then headed to their own rooms to rest.
Nunew decided that he would listen to some music and sketch a bit. And before he knows it, it is already 10pm. He then put his pad down and decided to sleep. The storm is still rumbling outside. He can clearly see the flash of lightning. His earbuds with the music on is helping but the thunder still bother him. He tried to ignore it, he tossed and turned around but he really couldnt sleep. He the decided to go to Zee. He took his other pillow with him and walked out of his room. He can see from the bottom of the door that Zee is still awake so he decided to knock.

"Nu, just come in" Zee called for him so he entered his room.

"How did you know it's me?" Nunew asked as he closes the door. He can see Zee is still on his laptop so he sat on the armchair next to his bed.

"It's 10pm and raining, it would only be you who would come to my room. Why did you even knock anyway? You know my room is always open." Zee said as he is typing on his laptop.

"Because it's polite. And i dont want to disturb if you are doing anything important" Nunew told him

"When did you start becoming polite to me?" Zee teases Nunew as he looks up.
"And why are you sitting there? Come here" Zee said when he saw Nunew at the chair and patted the space next to him. Just in time, a thunder roared through the sky so loud that it made Nunew jump and went straight to Zee.
