1. Keep my eyes on what I am doing today not on the final project - this keeps me from getting discouraged.
2. Have a plan (goals, time & money)and stick to it
Plan each day and have a goal to get each project done. Have a budget and keep to it as much as possible.
3. Give myself time restraints
In all phases; recording, editing, mixing, mastering
4. Don't overdo it
Too many instruments makes a mix muddy, difficult to balance and hard to control. Having a clear idea (the plan) about the arrangement and sticking to it helps me to avoid adding unnecessary clutter to a mix.
5. Keep my motivation pure: I do this not to get likes or become someone I am someone and I am already someone and I do this because I enjoy making great music, entertaining and inspiring/encouraging others.
