I am presently working with the song Rising. It has been a few weeks now and I really want to get done asap. Still I have to learn as I go so I took some time to listen to Rob Mayzes latest video that is a free training video. In it, he says that having a strategy or structure is the one thing that helps you and I go forward as a musician/indie producer/mixer.
I feel it.
I agree with him that there is an ocean of great tips but without a structure you can go in circles and not really see any real improvement. Of course he wants people to buy his training but it was a good reminder and had some great cheat sheets at the end.
Check him out and his latest course if you have the money and the time. I added the link on this chapter for those of you who want to check him out. the class, a nice week course costs under $10,000 - a great deal but too steep for me.
For now, I downloaded the cheat sheets and got back to mixing. And, I have to bake a cake for my son who is coming to stay tonight and I want to move on. Have a great one.
