I'm sure you've heard about superheroes and villains. The impossible and the extraordinary. But they're not real. They never are. Only inside your head. Fairy tales of the kids who never grow up.
That's what I used to think. Well, that's what my parents made me think. They would tell me I was being irrational and that I need to think like an adult.
But they were wrong. I tried to believe them. Before it all happened. Before I became the first Starling Vigilante. And then I seemed to get caught up in my own fairytale. My own world.
And then I believed nothing was impossible.
