Ileana was awed as she entered the underground garage. So this was where Jace's dad kept all his cars. She couldn't believe the brands and the so many gorgeous cars.

She gasped, standing beside the r8 Audi to take a picture with it. She could admire that car all day.

Jace gazed at the wall keyholder, wondering what vehicle he should take. Usually, he was driving the Alfa Romeo but he settled for another this time. He carefully raised the key. She exclaimed excitingly, "I can't believe your dad owns a real collection! I thought he was joking! Jace, let's take this!"

He glanced at the yellow vibrant Lamborghini Veneno and shook his head, "No, attention is not what we're looking for."

He pressed a button on the key and the lights of an Aston Martin DB11 flashed invitingly. She was taken aback at how slick and cool, that grey car looked.

She coughed deliberately, "And you think that one won't attract attention?"

He ran a finger delicately over the hood before going to the back to keep the bags in the boot. She sat inside, feeling nervous, thrilled and scared. He opened the door to slide in beside her, putting the contact, making the powerful engine come to life as the dash board illuminated.

He carefully reversed the car, turned the steering wheel, turned on the full power of the front lights as he accelerated towards a dark flat tunnel. She held her breath, amazed as she buckled up her seatbelt.

Minutes later, they emerged out onto a clear road and she held her breath, turning to look back to see nothing but the tunnel, "Where are we?"

He vaguely replied, "A few kilometres from the villa. It's my father's private practice zone."

He pressed on the accelerator pedal, going at the 150 mph. She could barely see the scenery in this dark. She joked, "I feel like we're in a James bond movie."

"Cause that's a James bond car, baby!"

She gazed at Jace. He was so dangerous. So...thrilling! She wouldn't lie to herself at how afraid she was of him despite everything he has ever done for her. He fought dirty...and worse was that he didn't know when to stop.

She remembered how brutal he had been to the man in the convenience store...but tonight, he had beaten that other guy as if he was going to kill him. What if he snapped at her? She was sure she'd not be able to bear it.

She eyed the gun, resting in the storage compartment between their seats. He reduced the speed at they finally came into the midst of the city traffic and he chuckled, "You're awfully silent, princess."

She sighed, "I'm just thinking of Sierra."

He grimaced, "So she's a duchess, uh?"

"I knew nothing."

"Duchess of what? What's her real name?"

She suggested, "We could do an internet search once we get to the hotel. Are we there yet?"

"It's a long way, princess. It'd take maybe an hour and a half with that traffic."

"Okay...thanks for being with me, Jace." And she meant it.

He wasn't looking at her now, "Always, Ileana. Always..."

She reddened a little, "Would you do this for anyone else?"

He drummed his fingers on the steering wheel, thinking, "Depends. If anyone in my squad was in trouble, I'd be there for him..."

She looked away towards the animated shops and muttered, "But I'm not in your squad...and I'm a girl..."
