Wanted a Prime Minister for a small island.

Have a gutsy disposition
Have some plans, the odd thought.
No games, of any sort.
You could be kind, should be witty
Sometimes tough, but showing pity.
Sort the outing, get us treaties
Make deals, get sweeties.
You can be tough but not cruel,
Sometimes fun, but not a fool.
Love us like your sons and daughters
Keep all trouble from our waters.
Don't let others dominate us
But neither give them cause to hate us.
It's a tough job old job you'll surely see
Forgive this piece of English whimsy
The hopes are real, the chances flimsy.
The children are squabbling
In want of a nanny
We need Mary Poppins desperately.
