Who needs Merry Christmas
We want to get real tanked up
If you don't drink till you're blathered
You've just not had enough.
Let's get off our heads for Christmas
Let's get off our skulls.
If you don't get wrecked this Christmas
You've just not had enough.
Let's get totally slaughtered
Let's get totally smashed
We'll know we had a real good Christmas
If we can't remember a thing.
We love A and E at Christmas
We love getting really ill
Drink yourself unconscious
Let's wake up in a cell.
A/N I enjoy a drink or two, especially at Christmas but don't get the culture where you go out of your way to get drunk. The language used to portray what is supposed to be a good time betrays the stupidity of this. 'Merry' is used to mean pleasantly inebriated. The other words are commonly used to depict drinking to excess. A and E is Accident and Emergency. The police and emergency services are seriously stretched by binge drinkers in the days running up to Christmas.
