There's a village out to sea at Kovalam
That wasn't there before
A village of lights in the black of the night
Fishing boats at sea.
The village will go by break of day
No longer out to sea
It will disappear before the dawn
The boats will all come home.
For now there's a village out at sea
We see its numerous lights
The sea is filled with fishing boats
Village of the night.
Fare you well good fishermen
Fishers of the deep
You will bring a new catch in
While we are still asleep.
