The days are slightly longer but
January's bitterly cold
That biting wind we feel it cutWe're wrapped up warm our doors firm shut
Against the bitter winter's cold.
The days are slightly longer butChristmas is gone, we're in a rut.
You start to sneeze, you fear a cold.
That biting wind we feel it cut.You comfort eat, catch your gut,
see the mirror. You're looking old.
The days are slightly longer butSun hibernates, our doors are shut
We loath the month if truth be told
That biting wind we feel it cut.We curse the winter, step out bold
Miss brighter times when we just strolled
The days are slightly longer but
That biting wind we feel it cut.
