Passion

You ticked my box when we first met
You surely were the one I'd dreamt.
I yearned for you when you weren't there
And missed you when you weren't around.

We'd e mail late, I'd drop small hints
You tried to put me off at first
But when our fingers touched they sparked.

You warned me off  but then we kissed.
As if all time had stopped for this.
We tried to part but something magic
Pulled us back as if magnetic.

We had huge traumas, fights and tiffs
We fought each other; couldn't fight this.
We couldn't escape from passion's embrace.
Gave in to love, forsook the chase.

So passion won and had its day
We made a pact you're mine, I'm yours
But passion fled, we're on our own
Alas you see me as I am
Stripped of my cloak I'm just a man.
