I watch as Luke and Corey enter the house, they were awed by how it looks. The kids are all settling in the family room, tired from the flight. We heard a pound of paws rushing down the main staircase. Uh oh. The wolves came through the enterance and we're about to head over to the kids when they stopped short and went on alert of the new comers.

Luke and Corey frozen in place, scared shitless of the huge animal's that looked like they were going to eat them. Luke slowly backed up, using Corey as a shield. The kids giggled.

"Shadow, Snow, sit!" I commanded. "Khalissi, Ares Arya, Forrest, Rain, Chief, follow suit. Sit."

All 8 wolves did as command but kept guard. The huge black one was Shadow, he's the alpha. The Snow is the white one, the alpha female, the rest were grey wolves betas.

I found them on a mission in Canada, I was going after a hunter that got away with poaching for years. I had to camp out in a high tree on one of his self made trails. I noticed a white wolf tracking it's prey, it passed by me and about an hour later it came back with a large rabbit.

A few moments later the hunter tracked the wolf, I climbed down the tree and tracked him, I had to knock him out and drag his ass back to the rangers. I followed him for about a mile, I was just around the corner when I hear a gun go off. I ducked immediately, gun in hand ready to shoot as well. When I didn't see anything I got up and walked further until I saw him.

He was overlooking the now lifeless white wolf just outside her den. I saw him kneel down and look in to where some whimpering was heard. Pups. I aims the gun and short the guys legs so he couldn't go anywhere.

He cried out in spin and looked to see who shot him. He tried to crawl to the gun he drop but I shot another round freezing him in place.

"Don't think about asshole. Your poaching days are over now." I told him, voice dead cold. I rushed and kicked his gun further away, he was holding his bleeding legs and cursing at me. I knocked him out with the end of the gun.

I tried his hands and called in the team that needed my help with this case. They came and got him, they took the mother wolf to bury her. They were going to take the pups, but I couldn't let that happen. They watched their mother get killed in front of them.

I asked of I could take them instead of favors and payment. I promised that they would be well taken care of. They agreed. They helped me collect them, which was really hard because the mother birth a full liter of 8. That night I took the next flight back home and had some trainers help me train them around the kids. They each had one to keep, I knew they would make great companions when they got older. And they sure are today.

"These are some new guests. Be nice. NO BITTING." I said firmly. They looked at me like I was insane. I had to make the kids reassure them.

When they finally obeyed, Luke and Corey relaxed a bit.

"Sorry, uh. Yeah we have wolves that are over protective too. Just talk to them like a person and they'll calm down. They need to see that you won't hurt us, then they'll have have your trust." I said looking at the two gorgeous men I once loved so much.

Do I still love them? Yes. How do we make this work? I have no clue. Was this a good decision for me and the kids? I guess we'll find out. If not then Shadow will eat them.

Luke came to me, "this is a really nice home Cupcake. It's unbelievable how you were able to accomplish so much while taking care of the kids by yourself. I'm proud of you."

"Thank you." I said softly.

"Mom, can we show them around please??!!" Brayden asked. The others got excited to show them too.
