Trevor’s POV

Seeing that Joey kid touching Catalina stirred the blood thirsty monster in me. I wasn’t sure why I would always react like this towards Catalina. It’s not like it didn’t cross my mind that she can possibly be my Maddie.

My Maddie.

The thought sent shivers down my spine. It was impossible because Maddie had died long time ago. It still stirred something in my cold heart to remember her dying. To remember seeing her dying and not being able to help her out, to remember her dying in the hands of my father accusing her of being a witch when we ourselves were monsters.

But this was Catalina, this was not Maddie even when their eyes looked alike. Maybe a long lost relative of hers…I should really ask her when she isn’t unconscious in another man’s arms and not any other man but Adrian.

He knew better.

“Trevor…Don’t.” Hissed John trying to get a good grip on my arm.

I yanked myself away from him, “Don’t tell me what to do John.”

I turned to Joey, “I suggest you leave now if you love your life so much.” He stared at me then back at Catalina, “I will talk to her even if you don’t like it, she is not yours.” He seemed hesitant at first but seeing how he was smaller than the rest of us, he made the wise decision of leaving.

“Okay I don’t know what is going on here,” Intervine Katie as she wiggled herself passed me and stood in front of Adrian, her hands on her hips glaring up at him. “But who the hell are you? And why are you holding Catalina like the thing to do?”

I couldn’t help but smile. Katie was small but she had an attitude. A red blur passed my eyesight. “If you don’t mind us, we shall be taking our friend out of your hands,” said Rachael. She tried to pull Catalina out of Adrian’s arms but was stopped as he pulled Catalina away from her grasp.

“I don’t think so. No offense, but you look too small and weak to be able to have a firm grip on her,” he said looking down lovely as Catalina. This only made me even angrier. I wanted to rip him to shreds he was trying my patience to the extreme, but before I was able to do anything, I watched as Rachael huffed out pulling back her leg before kicking Adrian quite hard on his shin. This wouldn’t had hurt him, but it sure surprised him to the point he yelped out realizing his hold on Catalina.

Quickly, Rachael grabbed her pulling her close. I was astonished out how quick she was and the fact that she was able to hold onto Catalina’s unconscious body. But she was filled with suprises because the next thing I knew, Rachael pulled her hand back and scratched Adrian’s face.

“Do NOT underestimate me,” she snarled furiously. Adrian looked down at tiny Rachael, even Katie looked shocked at her friends outburst.

“Rachael!” she gasped.

Rachael didn’t look at Katie, she kept her eyes on Adrian, “What? He wouldn’t let her go and he was looking at her as if she was a piece of meat or something.”

Adrian’s eyes harden narrowing at Rachael, “You bitch!”

“What did you just call me!?”

“Okay, Okay before our little red head over here rips off the head of the idiot over there,” Chad said strolling towards an angry Rachael, “I think we should try and wake up sleeping beauty over here.”

Chad took Catalina out of Rachael’s arms. Rachael was still staring daggers at Adrian, who wasn’t fully recovered over the face that a mere human had caused so much damaged onto him. That’s what he gets for being such a cocky prick.

My eyes roamed back to Chad, who softly shook Catalina. I tried to control the demon inside of me wanting to come out as I watched Chad hold what he thought was his. I knew he was just her friend, but the monster within me didn’t care.

“Catalina wake up…Catalina I’m serious wake your ass up…” he shook her lightly but after a minute of not getting her to come too, he began to shake her roughly. I hissed low bringing the attention of my brothers.

“Stay down,” commanded John.

“Do not tell me what to do,” I growled out.

“I will tell you what to do if you do not control yourself. He is trying to wake her up, you know they have been around her more than you have, they should know how to control this,” he said calmly.

I didn’t look at him, “We have been able to control it in the past,” I pointed out.

“But that was when she was having a meltdown, right now she’s full on unconscious. You do not know how to handle that, why not watch and learn?”

I gritted my teeth before nodding curtly. I hated when he was right. It wasn’t like I could do much, there was a lot I didn’t know about Catalina, a lot she didn’t know about me and yet here I was caring way too much about her. Pinning all of my hopes on this one attraction I had for her.

One attraction that I have had before on so many girls but only to have my hopes and my siblings hopes let down, when they were not the one. I couldn’t bare to go through that once again, I couldn’t.

Abruptly, I turned to leave. “I have to go.”

I didn’t look at my brothers or at my sister, I couldn’t. I was at a weak point in my life right now, not knowing what to do. I was never like this not even with the other ones, which is why I needed to leave. I needed to get away, away from her.

“Where are you going?”

I stopped in mid step as I heard her musical voice, bringing chills down my spine. What was this girl doing to me…
