Y/N POV:

When Jake and Johnnie asked Tara and I to go to a giant haunted ship, I couldn't tell if he was serious or not.

Jake: "So.. are you going or not?"

Tara: "Does Tara Yummy look like she does good with ghosts?"

She asked with attitude and worry on her face. As she spoke, she had her hand pointing to her.

Tara: "You know what."

She straightened up and took a deep breath. She looked at Jake and smiled.

Tara: "Yeah, we'll go."

Y/n: "We!?"

I side eyed her.

Tara: "If I go, you go."

She pointed at herself, then me.

Y/n: "You're right."

She smiled. Jake smiled.

Jake: "Yippe!"

Johnnie: "When are we going?"

Jake: "Right now, idiot."

Jake gave him the meanest look. I knew it was a joke, but the look was insane.

Johnnie: "Fuck you, man."

He laughed. Jake smiled, and we finally headed to Jake's car.

___

When we finally arrived at the ship, we waited in the car for a bit.

Jake: "I'm gonna start recording in a minute."

Tara, Johnnie, and I talked as Jake hot his camera ready. For a bit, Tara and Johnnie went back and forth with emo jokes.

I saw Jake lift the camera to his face.

Jake: "Let's just say... things are about to get pretty crazy."

He said with a finger up and a silly face.

He stood silent for a second. Tara looked at me, and I looked at her back. I smiled, causing us both to laugh.

Jake: "Why are you two laughing?"

Tara: "You're a loser."

She said, laughing right after.

Johnnie: "I don't even want to be here."

Tara: "In the world, or just here?"

Johnnie sat silent for a second.

Johnnie: "In the world."

Tara: "We can tell."

We all laughed, and Jake finally got to the point for the camera.

Jake: "I'm here with my best friend, Johnnie."

He smiled and pointed the camera to Johnnie.

Jake: "Our sweetheart, Y/n."

He spoke in his mom voice as he swayed the camera to me.

Jake: "And my ex-girlfriend."

He dropped his face and voice.

Tara: "Wait, can't you call me your best friend or something too? Ex girlfriend sounds icky."

She said with a smile while playing with the ends of her hair.

Johnnie: "Sounds pretty fitting to me.".

Jake put down the camera as they spoke. Once they finished playfully arguing, Jake introduced where we were. He recorded the ship, and we all left the car.
