I woke up to Scarlet whispering beside me.

It took me awhile to realize she was talking to the baby and not to herself.

"Hi." She whispered when she saw the smile on my face. I grabbed her hand and kissed the top of it.

"The wedding is in like three hours, you know." She pointed out, her eyes glistening with an emotion I couldn't quite place at the moment.

"I know." I looped my finger through her bra strap as she stared at me with a curious expression.

"And that means I have to go with Mia and Daisy to get ready." She went on, sitting up. "Don't look at me like that, River. You get to spend the whole day with my brothers. It'll be fun!" She patted my lap, and for a second I thought she might have gotten over this whole Damon thing, but the same sadness still lingered in her eyes.

"Yeah, because a whole day with my girlfriend's three older brothers is great." I muttered, sliding out of the bed and crossing the room to find another t-shirt to wear until Steven got back here with the tuxes.

"It'll be fine, Riv. They love you, don't let any of them tell you otherwise." I turned around as I pulled my shirt over my head, my eyes widening a fraction when I saw Scarlet.

She was sitting on the bed without her shirt on the bed beside her, staring down at her stomach with a blank expression.

Her stomach had grown. She looked as if she had stuffed her face with food non-stop for the last couple months. It was odd, considering I'd seen her without any clothes a few weeks ago and she hadn't been this big.

"River. . ." She started, gulping. I joined her back by the bed, kneeling down a few inches away.

"When was my next appointment supposed to be?" She asked, watching as I brought my hand up and laid it against her stomach.

"A few days ago. I called the doctor and said we were heading out here. She said we could go and see her on Tuesday." I watched Scarlet's expression change as she laid her hand on mine on top of her stomach.

"What about our wedding? Are we still going to do it before the birth? And what if the baby doesn't like me or wants nothing to-"

"Carls, the baby is ours. He or she is going to love us no matter what. Do you understand me? Stop thinking the baby won't like you, everyone does." She laughed a little, squeezing my hand.

"Reese." She whispered, earning nothing more than a confused look out of me.

"What?" I asked.

"I want to name him or her Reese. Reese Moore." She ran her free hand through my hair like I was her son rather than fiance, her lips in a thin line.

"Reese? Why not Damon or-"

"Because we'll have other kids, right? We can name our next Damon." I smiled a little at the smirk that had started to spread across her face. She looked more lie the old Scarlet, the beautiful girl I had fallen in love with almost seven years ago.

"Why Reese?" I questioned, genuinely curious on why she had chosen that name in particular.

"I don't know, I just like the name and it's gender neutral." She answered. I stood back up, giving her hand one last squeeze before starting to pull her up with me.

"I like it." I agreed, grabbing her crutches from beside me, "Now we better get out of here before Collin and Nina come dragging us out by our ears."
