My name is Claudia Cumberbatch and this is not just my story, but the also the story of Sir Benedict Cumberbatch, my husband. I am a house wife. I am a home owner. I am a mother. I am a wife. I am a best friend. I've helped the British heartthrob through the harsh times. I've been there during the good times. I've been there for him all the time. It's been hard from being a nobody to a somebody as soon as I had the ring slid on to my finger. I would sometimes wake up and roll over to see the beautiful face of the man I used to have postured over my bedroom wall and wonder 'why me? Why was I the chosen one?'. I have lived every fangirls dream and now today is the day, I tell you a story. This is the story of how I, a nobody from a small town in Kent, became Mrs Claudia Cumberbatch, a somebody in a large city of London.
