MUSIC WARNING!!!! this chapter has a musical moment. i'm keeping it because the moment correlates to the story. & my 13-15 year old self loved music, musicals, etc & i KNOWWW if legacies had sofia carson they'd have her sing too. so if you comment "second hand embarrassment" "ew" blah blah blah i will come for you<3. this story means a lot to me & a lot of what i was going through i healed through music & writing, especially when i wrote this fic. so...be nice, skip it if you want, i don't care. but i've warned you multiple times so if you're still gonna be a dick, don't get upset when i am a dick right back. this shit was fun i don't care what y'all say.

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE

"Landon, NO!"

I scream as I tumble into the pool, Landon laughing as he falls in behind me. We splash at one another, having a good, mindless time. Landon laughs as he swims away, causing me to roll my eyes.

We had been staying here for a week. Gone to all types of attractions, met all types of people, and a lot of fun. And honestly, it felt nice to have some peace. We both had agreed to forget about Hope. No plans on seeing her again, so why let it affect us? She's no longer part of our lives. Just Landon and I. I laugh as I look out the window, looking out into the parking lot. Sunlight seeps in as I stare at a red car. Looking back at Landon, I wave him over. "Want to head to that pub in downtown?"

Landon swims closer.  "The George Jones or whatever?" I nod at his question. "Sure, let's get out of here," He walks past me, shoving my head under the water. I bounce back up, spitting water out of my mouth.

"Screw you!"

The bar is quite full on a night like this.

People filled the tables and bar stools, chatting away about their lives. Landon and I were lucky to have gotten a spot in a corner. The two of us make awkward eye contact as we look at our menus, neither of us really knowing what we want.

"Hi. guys!" A woman with short black hair chirps at us. She smiles wide, and I instantly notice how pretty she is. "My name is Stephanie, and I'll be your server tonight." She pulls out a notepad, "What can I get you guys to drink?"

I clear my throat, reaching into my pocket and pulling out a fake ID. "Just a solid Pistol Princess." I chirp. "And a lemonade for him." She smiles as she walks away, while Landon gives me an annoyed look.

"Seriously?" He asks, annoyed.

"What? Not like you're fun enough to drink anyway." I mumble. Landon scoffs as Stephanie comes back with our drinks.
