When I open my eyes, I'm standing in my parent's living room. The outside is dark because it's night time.

No one is awake right now, with a small smile on my face I walk up the stairs to my old room waiting to surprise my family with my arrival the next morning.

I scrunch up my face when I feel figures hovering over me, "Is it really her" I hear a female voice whisper.

"What kind of joke are the witches playing with us" I roll to the other side of the bed to ignore their voices, I slowly open my eyes when neither of the voices kept quiet. "Rory?" My mom calls, I jump into her arms and hug her tight.

"You're really here" she pats my back, my dad has a smile on his face, I hug him with a happy laugh.

I'm back home, where I belong.

"Have a bath and come downstairs for breakfast. Oh, Ernest and Isabelle are so going to be happy!" My mom squeals.

I come out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around my body and another towel wrapped on my head, I move to the small table beside my bed.

I pick up a small note I see placed beside the herbs "I never brought them with me" I unfold the note.

You left your herbs back at Dapphion so I had to teleport there while you were in the bathroom, don't worry I did not peek.

Kisses-Xanthus.

Wait, I think humans write: XOXO instead of kisses.

Xoxo Xanthus.

A goofy smile spreads on my lips, I take my herbs and wear a light pink top with blue jeans and put my hair up in a ponytail.

I blame the mark for making me smile at his note.

I see my parents and Ernest waiting for me with a smile, Ernest runs and hugs me tightly "I'm happy you're back" I hug him back, "Where's Isabelle?" I ask, she's usually down for breakfast before anyone. "She's, um, coming," my mom says.

"I made your favorite" she smiles.

"We are not waiting for her?" I ask, "No, when she's hungry she will come down," my dad says. That's strange, it's a rule made by my dad that everyone eats breakfast and dinner together.

He said it strengthens our bond as a family. "Is she okay?" I ask suspiciously, "Yes, sweetie" I nod at the response, I'll find out later.

"How are you here, not that we are not happy you're here," my mom says, "Urm, We had a deal," I say as I take a bite from my cinnamon rolls.
