We are in a hurry
to live our lives to the brim
so we dangle in edges, free
until breath, no more, dreams
We are in a flurry
to see the sights in town
so we clamor up to shores sandy
just to reach the setting sun
We are in a story
one which we write to be known
so we pile stones to the quarry
because we forget to tell our own
