Lately, I am tired
of the thoughts running
through my head
in the dark
past the dirty mud
—back at me
Lately, I feel like
I'm living in a loop
where angst run amok
to leave me spent
—bruised
dead
But I think them anyway
Lately, I am empty
of the lifeI once had
through my grip
back to the past
Lately, I feel like
I'm putting on masks
to let me live
for a day
—smiling
dead inside
But I live anyway
Lately, I am numb
I am pallid
—reckless
I destroy my soul
to leave me
—broken
bloodied
by my own hands
I should stop
destroying myself
But I do it anyway
