Claws cage me
until my hope
flickers out
I am not free
I am not fine
I am not me
Dawns come
just to siphon
my night of revelry
I am not heard
I am not valid
I am not me
Thorns train around me
until all my blood
bleeds out
I am not bright
I am not sunny
I am not me
Dark days devour me
because I rested
too long being happy
I am not safe
I am not pleasing
I am not me
So why in my journey
do I look for something
to fulfill me
