I want the world to stop
just so I could
catch my breath
and let myself live
for a while
For once
I want time to stop
just so I could
do everything I want
without fear
of running out
For once
I want heartbreaks to stop
just so I could fully say
that I am glad
to be tied to
another soul
For once
I want fate to stop
just so I could dictate
where I would have
started or where
I could go
For once
I want chances to stop
just so I could reach up
the slowest I could
and still succeed
For one
I want life to stop
just so I can die to myself
without worrying if
I have lived life
at all
For once
I want me to stop
just so I can take
a step back and
start living
for the first time
