your days away
You laugh, howl
—joy, guffaw
at the mess of my life
You watch, gape
—ogle at my foolish
choices
You stomp on
my successes
Because you can
Because you want to
—it brings you joy
you cherish privilege
so much more than me
You turned to your friends
and recount how
I made a misstep
—mistake
amused are you
at the mess of my life
So I suffer in silence
while you smile
at the triumph
of your own way
