Veronica pov-

"How was school today?" My best friend George says over FaceTime. "It was okay, boring as usual. How was filming your YouTube video?" I ask, he shrugs. "Was normal, I messed up a lot." He tells me, I shake my head.

"I doubt that, you're amazing. I've got to get off here and do my Physics homework. I'll talk to you on snapchat later." I say, he nods with a kind smile. "Good luck, you've got this. Bye." He waves me off, I do the same as I end the call.

"Do you FaceTime him everyday?" A voice startled me, I jump slightly. "What the fuck Jocelyn! How did you sneak in here?" I yell, grabbing my chest. "Well, I've known the password to your garage door for about 3 years now. That was a really idiotic question." She sasses me, I roll my eyes.

"You never answered me scaredy cat." She persists. "I call him or he calls me at least once a week." I tell her, my cheeks heat up in embarrassment. "Ah, George never mentioned that to me. How sweet." She smiles at me. "I guess so, he is my guy best friend. Anyways, what brings you here?" I ask, she shrugs. "Your house has more food than mine, and I'm craving Mac n Cheese. Plus, we get to gossip easier in person." She states, I rolled my eyes again.

"Well, let's go to the kitchen then. What even is there to gossip about? We have no lives." I tell her, she laughs. "Well, you've got me there." She giggles, picking some Mac n Cheese cups out of the pantry.

"So, tell me some juicy gossip." I demand, she shakes her head while sticking the cup in the microwave. "A little birdie told me that you're falling in love with your internet friend." She says, her back still turned away from me. I choke on my Sprite, eyes going wide, and my heart beginning to race.

"What birdie knows that kind of lie?" I ask, but also knowing it wasn't a full lie. "Well, that little birdie is me." She says nonchalantly, I shake my head. "God, what tangent are you about to go on now?" I ask annoyed.

"You can't pretend that you don't like George, it's quite obvious. Now before you roll your eyes for the seven thousandth time today, hear me out. I know you pretty damn well, I mean it's been 3 years. So, don't you think I can't notice when you develop a little crush. I know the feelings are quite mutual on George's side." She rants, I laugh a little.

"That's crazy. Me... having a crush on him? Insane." I blow off her comment. "Okay, you're tactic to use avoidance isn't working on me honey. Just admit it to me, I wanna hear you say it. I won't laugh or anything." She says, I sigh. "I like George, but don't fucking tell him." I warn, she smiles widely, setting her macaroni in her normal spot.

She sits down, a smile still etching her face. "Well, I think it would be best if you admitted your feelings to him." She proceeds, I shake my head. She has that look on her face, I can read it quickly.

"Wipe that look off your face right now, you have that look where you're going to do something dramatic. Or you've got some plan to ruin me." I shudder at the thought of her telling him.

"I know that you're a very shy person, I mean you're Veronica. However, what if I texted George for you? Like, I low key tell him that you have feelings for him, or I tell him that I believe you do. We'll see his reaction and maybe you'll get over yourself enough to ask him out?" She suggests, my chest tightened with anxiety.

I mean what would it hurt if she did it? I mean if she said she believed I liked him, it wasn't like it was for certain. I just can't imagine myself gaining enough confidence to talk to him about our feelings.

"Fine, I'll do it." I breathe out, she throws her hands up in victory. "You're going to love this. What could possibly go wrong?" She asks rhetorically. "He rejects me and I fall into a state of self-pity because I suck at knowing the true intent of someone's actions." I state dryly. "Accurate, but harsh. I like it." She says approvingly.

"When are you doing this?" I ask, she smirks. "Oh, I texted him like 15 minutes ago. I'm just waiting for a reply back." She tells me, my heart sinks with anticipation. "Wait, you haven't even been here for 15 minutes. Why'd you even ask if it was okay to do?" I exclaim. "I knew you'd say yes because you're secretly dying to know if he feels the same. Like I said, it's been 3 years now that we've know each other." She claims, I sigh... she's right again.

"I can't believe you texted him, wh- your phone just lit up, is it fucking him. Oh my gosh Jos I'm gonna die." I panic, she chuckles. She turns her phone towards me.

"You better open it right now!" I scream.

So like chapter 1. I am not sure if I completely like how laid back and how fast it jumps into the plot. I'm very sorry, but enjoy.
