2.0: Challenge Accepted & A New Case

I followed both Agent Hotchner and Agent Jareau to the conference room, everyone else was already there and she could tell they still felt a bit awkward about what happened before.

Rossi either didn't know or didn't care since he just smiled and shook her hand, "I'm Agent Rossi, nice to meet you Agent Archer." Crystal smiled as she shook his hand, "I'm glad to make your acquaintance, I read your books and I found them a good use for many of my lessons."

She went to go sit down and the only spot open was between Hotch and Rossi, which she is guessing was on purpose since, again, she felt that they were still a bit nervous about what happened before. Hotch once again gave them a questioning look while Rossi just chuckled at the teams antics, "What do we have?" JJ cleared her throat as she grabbed the remote, "3 teenagers kidnapped yesterday afternoon in Ohio from a party they were attending. Parents didn't think to much about it since they assumed they were at the other's house spending the night, but called it in when all three of their parents did not hear from them after they were dropped off. Missing is Riley Summers age 15, Jonny Mitchell age 17, and Savannah Mitchell age 17." 

"Twins I assume?" Crystal asked as she looked at the pictures of the victims, "Yes and no one claims to know where they went after the party was over." Morgan tilted his head, "This is sad and all, but why exactly are we being called in? Maybe the kids just decided to skip town for a trip or something?"

Garcia pulled something up on the screen, "That would be nice to think about, but we know this is a kidnapping because the families have received tape recordings with messages from their kids and were sent notes with their blood saying they'll be returning the kids in pieces if the demands are not met with bank numbers on them." Garcia finished as she play on the recordings.

"T-this is Riley S-summers and, and you need to wire $500,000 dollars to the account g-given to you in the note. Any type of trickery wi-will resort in my death. Trying to use fake money will resort in my death. Trying to not follow his instructions will resort in my death. You have 24 hours after midnight before we s-start sending you pieces of your child to bury for their funeral. Y-your time is ticking."

Crystal frowned, She sounds so scared. "Do we know the relationship between these kids? Friends? Relatives? Dating?" Emily asked as she stared at pictures of the notes, "Friends since they were little, the messages to the Mitchell's are exactly the same as Riley's. We've been asked on this case since they're working on limited time and the Mitchell's are a very well respected family, Jay Mitchell is the football coach at the local high school and Mable Mitchell is the President of the Council of Community Schools." 

JJ concluded as she closed the file, "What about Riley's parents?" Everyone turned to look at Crystal as she continued to look at the file, "She lives with her dad Robert Summers, her mom Rebecca Summers died 2 years ago due to breast cancer. The Mitchells and Summers knew each other from high school and stayed friends." Crystal nodded as she listened to JJ tell her about the Summers, "Any particular reason why you wanted to know about the Summers?"

Crystal looked up at Rossi who asked her this, "No not really, but there's barely anything about the Summers in the file which is mostly just about the Mitchells. I hope they realize that Riley is missing and just as important even if her dad isn't a football coach or a council member." This made Morgan cough to cover his laugh and Rossi showed an impressed face as he stated, "Very true, I wonder what they were thinking when writing this file." 

Hotch grabbed his things, "We can ask questions when we get there, wheels up in 30." Before he left though he made sure to ask, "Agent Archer I assume you have a go bag, correct?" She raised an eyebrow, "Agent Hotchner I hope you're not assuming I'm an amateur." This made him give a small smile, she could actually tell this time, "I would hope not Agent."
