The green monster eating us from within,
Feeding on our insecurities and fears,
Making us vulnerable to sorrow
And sometimes trying to seek revenge.
Our within sobs because the monster manipulates us,
WE end up thinking, the other is doing better, has something or is better,
Something we wanted to do,
Something we wanted to have,
Someone we thought we wanted to be.
It makes us hollow like termite does to wood.
It makes us vulnerable
To sorrow
& sometimes makes us seek revenge.
But all of it just maybe a perception,
We have of the other.
We may just see they have something,
Not the subtle truth in between the actual.
We may see something they are,
But not how they have become.
And therein lies the remedy,
To the green eyed monster.
Knowing ourselves,
Being empathetic to the other,
Filling and feeling in their shoes.
What we want,
How to achieve it thus,
Awareness is the the best remedy!
