The spotlight shines upon,

I dread walking to it,

But pulling all my nerves together,

Tremble into the circle of truth.

I look beyond

The plain light blinding me,

And I see people,

Looking at me.

Judging me,

Or so I think

Vilifying me,

Or so I anticipate

Laughing at me,

Or so I fear.

But I fix my gaze,

To that place,

Between my eyes,

Beyond the crowd.

And with the anticipation and fears,

Kept aside,

With courage filled tongue wavering,

With air filled in my lung

Just starts speaking
