Soft yet harsh tickle on the bare feet,
Walking through the frozen ground.
Cold and pale, she looked at them
As pale as the snow
With streams of purple and blue veins running through
Underneath the white skin.
She tried reducing the distance,
Between her and the shadow.
The red from her beating heart nowhere to be seen
As if her heart had stopped beating in the instant.
She saw her life freeze
As his shadow was walking away,
Leaving hers.
She couldn't believe.
She had whispered to him of unison someday,
Fantasised of inextricably united shadows of them for a lifetime,
His affirmations dressed in smiles, silent kisses and words
Had made hear heart swell up with warmth,
And given her reasons to dream.
But the warmth went away with him,
As the distance levelled between her
And him.
The cold filled her as if she had never dreamt
She had never been warm.
He was a person, she dint know.
She was a person, she never knew about.
Her hands reached out to bask in his presence once more,
But he had long left
The cold made her shiver,
Yet she was bereft of all the emotions and the feelings,
Promises unkept, kisses incomplete, hugs without touch.
She could not feel.
She froze as time moved,
Her emptiness only being her companion.
She stared at the door
Which had closed behind
Without thought and reasons.
She was cold,
No emotions, no feelings, no senses
As if, he left her,
And he left her dead.
