You asked for forgiveness,
You shattered my heart,
And then,
You asked for forgiveness.
I don't want to be the better human,
I don't want to tell you,
It is okay to hurt somebody.
I don't want to forgive you.
But still,
I will do.
'Cause I don't want to be the holder,
Of irreparable agony
From the consequence of a grudge.
'Cause I want you to be the bearer,
Of the gratitude,
From the consequence of my forgiveness.
So, I will forgive you,
In my own time,
I will forgive you.
But do yourself a favour,
Don't ask me to,
Trust you.
Not ever again!
