12. Dinner with him💥

Manik dropped home nandini and as promised, she went straight to change her dress and fell on her bed. Immediately sleep consumed her.
The next day, it was the same routine for everyone in the house but Manik planned something special for them. He wanted to take Nandini to an official dinner and spend some quality time with her. So he called her to know her schedule.

"Hi beautiful"

"Hi handsome" flirted back Nandini.

"Wow someone called me handsome today"

"You too called be beautiful today"

"Because you are"

"Okay fine, tell me why did you call early in the morning"

"My dear, this is not early morning. The time is 7am"

"Yes it is just 7. You know I love my beauty sleep"

"Fine. Should I talk or you want to sleep?"

"No no manik... you tell me"

"Hmm... Nandini are you free tonight?"

"Why Manik?"

"Answer please"

"Should I make myself free tonight? Anything important? "

"Yes if possible. I want to take you somewhere. Please come home by 6pm"

"Okay Manik. I will try to come home soon"

"Okay then see you tonight. Bye"

"Bye Manik" Nandini replied but internally wanted the evening to come soon. She is excited to spend time with Manik. Hopefully they will eat something. Because, she is a hungry tigress after coming from hospital. She needs food to bring her sanity. The day was pretty free for Nandini and she came home by 5. She literally killed her time at her home. When she decided to get ready, the most tiresome work stood in front of her - choosing the outfit! When she skimmed through her dresses, she found a box wrapped in gift cover. She being the excited kid, opened the gift wrapper quickly and found an elegant sea blue dress with matching jewellery. She was really amazed seeing the beauty. And what really surprised her was a note struck underneath. It stated,

Wear this and make this dress more beautiful, my precious one! Can't wait to see you.

This was enough to increase her heartbeat and bring butterflies in her stomach. She quickly got ready and curled her hair a bit. After giving a final check up, she went down as he rang the bell. She quickly hugged her mom and whispered a bye and left. Manik as expected stared her with open mouth.
Manik, being the gentleman, opened the door for her and kissed her hand. She smiled. She felt lot of feelings at that moment. She felt like flying in the air.

"You are looking really pretty. Thanks for coming "

"Thank you manik and special thanks for the dress and accessories. I really loved it and the dress is super comfortable. By the way, how did you know my size? It just fits me perfectly"

"Um... I actually guessed the size and sent it to your mom. She confirmed your size and hence I gift packed it and brought accessories"
