Laurel could feel a flash of concern through the bond and not a second later there was a buzz in the air and Damon appeared in her room. Immaculately dressed in dark wash straight leg jeans and a black fitted tshirt, his dark chestnut hair mussed, like the most controlled and styled bedhead, in a very sexy way.

“Are you ok?” He ran to her and put his hands on her shoulders, looking her over from her head to her toes looking for signs that she was hurt, before looking around the room for a threat.

“I’m ok, I just, I mean I think we should talk?” she was stuttering over her words with nerves.

Another flash of concern burned through the bond to her from him “What do we need to talk about? Did something happen?”

“Something new happened, and I wanted to tell you right away, it's too embarrassing to do over the phone” Laurel took a deep breath to steady herself before barreling through the hard part “The magic pull thing I do when we’ve been together? The warm under your skin tingles that happen? I don’t have control over it anymore. I was...I was fantasizing about you and Delia could feel it from the other end of the house.”

Damon’s left eyebrow raised as he took in her words and considered what that meant. “What do you mean Delia could feel it?” he sounded much more curious than concerned.

“I was just thinking about the things we could do tomorrow, in your home, how it could be, not touching myself or anything and Delia texted me asking me what I was doing, saying that she got hit by a wave of lust magic, that felt warm and tingly under her skin making her feel aroused.”

“That does sound like your magic” he said as he drew her into his chest, his large hand running up and down her back.

“I have no control over it! Are there other tenants in your building? Am I going to affecting other people every time I get horny there?” She rushed out her words, full of nerves. But this was the first time she mentioned anything even remotely related to sex that she didn’t blush brighter than a poppy.

“I own the whole building, there are a couple retail spaces and offices on the lower floors, but everything above the 6th floor is mine, I doubt you will be able to affect anyone from my home. Plus I had the living space spelled to keep all inside magic inside, and all outside magic outside. We should be perfectly safe while we work on figuring out what you are, and if you can gain some control over things” He wrapped his arms around her even tighter, placing a soft kiss on her forehead. He could feel her heart rate slow back down, and some relief flow through the bond.

“That makes me feel better. I’m sorry I’m such a mess and nothing is easy around me right now” she said, her voice muffled as she spoke into his firm chest.

One of his fingers reached just under her chin, gently coaxing her to raise her eyes to look at him, so she could see and feel how deeply he meant his words. “I’m having the time of my life with you Laurel. Don’t apologise for what you are.”

Her arms tightened around his body, as she listened to the beat of his heart through his shirt, enjoying the warm feeling of him next to her, the strong masculine scent that he carried filling her lungs. His presence made her feel more relaxed and safe.

“Well since you are here anyways, want to help me pack up?” She asked, a sly smile on her face as she tried to offload some of her work on to him.

“I would be happy to help get you ready to move in” she could feel the sincerity in his words as she dragged her suitcase out to start filling it with clothes.

“Ok but no funny business, I don’t want a repeat of earlier. We are going to be hands off until tomorrow at your place.”

Damon left after making sure Laurel was settled and ready to go in the morning, he tucked her into bed and let her know he had to do a little work this evening before she arrived so he could focus entirely on her tomorrow. With a quick kiss, he teleported himself out of her bedroom and back to his penthouse, leaving Laurel alone.
