Max had finished writing and started to fold her paper up, placing them into envelopes before writing someone's name onto it "I know you guys are starting at me" Max spoke glancing over her shoulder "What? Sorry?" Steve replied as he pretended to be playing with the ball in his hand "You said you needed something?" Lucas spoke "Just hanging out" Steve replied throwing the ball up into the air and catching it. "How you think your eyes boring into the back of my head is protecting me from Vecna, I don't know" Max spoke as she picked up each envelope and stacked them into a pile before carrying the over to the group, she stood in front of them holding them as she watched the three males pretend they weren't looking at her "You can look at me now" Max spoke "Thank you, Sorry" Steve replied as they all fumbled to put down what they had in their hands and all apologized "For you" Max spoke passing an envelope to Dustin "For you" She spoke giving one to Steve "And, um, you" She spoke handing one more to Lucas "Oh, and, Um, give these to April, Mike, El, and Will" She spoke passing four more envelopes to Lucas. "What are you doing? No, don't. That's not for now. Don't open it" Max spoke as Steve began to try and look at what was inside "Don't... Okay," Dustin spoke stuffing it into his pocket "I'm sorry. What is this?" Dustin spoke glancing back at Max "It's um... It's a fail-safe. For after. If things don't work out" Max spoke her tone was soft with no emotion. "Wait, whoa. Max things are gonna work out" Lucas tried to reassure her. "No, I don't need you to reassure me and tell me it's all gonna work out. People have been telling me that my entire life and it's almost never true" Max spoke her anger grew with each word as she looked at Lucas "It's never true. I mean, Of course, this asshole curses me. Should've seen that one coming" Max spoke as the room filled with silence. "If we go to east Hawkins will this still reach Pennhurst?" Max asked as she picked up the radio looking at Dustin "Of course. Yeah" Dustin spoke "Wait, why are we talking about East Hawkins" Steve spoke as Max turned to him with the look that explained everything without words "No! No, No!" Steve replied. Max grabbed her stuff and left the Wheeler house deciding to walk herself "Max, Max seriously? I'm not joking. I'm not driving you anywhere" Steve spoke as he ran behind her "Steve if you think I'm gonna spend what is likely the last day of my life in the armpit that is Mike Wheeler's basement then you're out of your mind. Either take me where I need to go or tie me down, which is technically kidnapping of a minor and if I live to see another day, Steve, I swear to god, I will prosecute" Max spoke before getting to Steve's car and pulling on the door "Open the door" She spoke to him bluntly "Uh, no" Steve replied back with the same tone "I know a good lawyer" Max replied back giving Steve the same annoyed look that he had always got from April, he shook his head before pulling out his eyes "Henderson, that super walkie of yours better reach Pennhurst" He spoke before getting in closely followed by Dustin and Lucas, as Max got the door opened the sound of a clock chiming rang in her ears once again.

Either take me where I need to go or tie me down, which is technically kidnapping of a minor and if I live to see another day, Steve, I swear to god, I will prosecute" Max spoke before getting to Steve's car and pulling on the door "Open the door...

Nancy's car had finally pulled up to Pennhurst Asylum, Robin was first to get out not really selling the Academic she was trying to and of course, Nancy fitted the role perfectly. Yet April got out last as each eye of everyone who could possibly see her landing on her, She looked like a Sexy Academic with the charm and flit needed for the job at hand. "I can't breathe in this thing, and I'm itching. I'm itching all over. I look like this, you look like that and April looks like a fucking model, how is this fare?" Robin asked as she walked and was even struggling with that "It's not all about comfort. Okay? We're academics" Nancy spoke as they made their way to the main doors "I'm comfy and I look pretty good" April smirked as she walked in front of Nancy and Robin "We look like we are coming from an Easter brunch Nance and April look like she has been to an Academics party. Also, this bra that you gave me is really itching my boobs" Robin spoke in frustration "Okay, could you just let m do the talking? Is that's even possible? You just stand there and look academic and let April do what she does best" Nancy spoke back to Robin also in frustration "It's not only possible, it's inevitable. Because shortly, ill be dead from strangulation" Robin replied sarcastically as she pulled at the neck of her dress with April trailing behind them. The trio had finally made it into Dr. Hatch's office "3.9 GPAs, all of you. Impressive" He spoke as he put on the paper he was given "and this is a recommendation from Professor Brantly" April spoke as she leaned on the desk passing it to him his eyes starring more at her chest than her face, she smirked sweetly as she looked at him through her eyelashes causing him to move in his chair slightly. "Yeah, I know Larry. Quite well, actually. Eh, you know what they say. "Those who can't do, teach."" He spoke causing the three girls to laugh along with him "Uh, yes, yes, that's actually why we're here. I mean, we can only learn so much in a classroom." Nancy replied back "Mmm. And I'm sympathetic to your struggle, truly. But there is a protocol for visiting a patient like Victor. You put in a request and then undergo a screening process, at which point the board will make a decision. I can see you're disappointed. But I'm more than happy to give you a tour. Perhaps you can even speak to some patients in our low-security wing." He spoke in a sigh understanding what the girls wanted most "And we'd... we would love that. It's just that, um... our thesis is due next month." April spoke looking at him "And you're out of time. Whose fault is that?" Dr. Hatch spoke watching April who cringed ever so slightly "Ours. Absolutely. And I do apologize..." April replied her tone taking on one as sweet as a lemon cake. "Don't apologize, Nora. Screw that. The fact is, we did put in a request months ago and were denied. And then we reapplied and were denied again. And coming here was our last-ditch effort to save our thesis. And I really... I can't breathe in this thing." Robin spoke as she yet again pulled at her neckline "Well, Rose, maybe you'd like to go outside and get some air." April replied back placing a hand on her shoulder "Maybe I should, Ruth. Mm-hmm. Because I'm starting to think this whole thing is a colossal mistake. I'm breaking out in a rash. My boobs hurt. And I'll tell you the truth, Anthony. May I call you Anthony? These aren't my clothes. I borrowed them because I wanted you to take us seriously. Because nobody takes girls seriously in this field. They just don't. We don't look at the part or whatever. But can I tell you a story? 1978, I was at summer camp. And my counselor Drew told me and everyone in Cabin C the true story of the Victor Creel Massacre. And little Petey McHew... You know Petey, right, Ruth?" Robin spoke looking at Nancy to back her up "Of... Of course. Yeah." Nancy replied as she nodded "Little Petey McHew started sobbing right there on the spot. Full-on hyperventilating. The other campers couldn't sleep for weeks. I couldn't either, but not 'cause I was scared. Because I was obsessed with the question, "What would drive a human being to commit such unimaginable acts?" Other kids wanted to be astronauts, basketball players, and rock stars. But I wanted to be you. I wanted to be you. So, forgive me if I'll now try anything in my power, including wearing this ridiculous outfit, if I might get to speak to the man that ignited my passion and learn a little more about how he twisted, but let's face it, the totally fascinating mind works. So, yes, we don't have the official paperwork, but don't tell me that cry-baby Petey McHew wouldn't have gotten an audience with Victor in moments if he'd asked politely, because you and I both know that he would." Robin spoke before letting out a deep angry sigh "So... ten minutes with Victor. That's all I ask." She spoke again sweetly. After a few moments, they were out in the corridor behind Dr. Hatch "I'm back in 30." He told his secretary who nodded back
