Kai'sa PoV

I let out a frustrated sigh.

I told myself, not to make friends, and what do I do? I made some fucking friends.

A cold chill goes down my spine as I enter our 'permanent' house.

Dad always sets the temperature to 65.

Walking over, I turn up the heat to a comfortable 70 degrees.

I smile and turn around, only to hear Dad yelling from his room.

Kassadin: "Kai'sa! Did you touch the thermostat!?"

Jesus Christ Dad.

Me: "Yeah!"

There was a small pause before he spoke again.

Kassadin: "Could you turn it down!?"

I sighed and sank a little, before turning down the heat to 67.

Kassadin: "Thank you, sweetheart!"

That's always been a thing with my Dad, he enjoys the cold.

I turn my attention to my phone.

Well, at the very least I've got a few people I could call, to help me cope with this artic Iceland my Dad adores.

I head into my room, shutting the door behind me as I do.

Most people don't like calls, maybe just a text is fine.

I sit down on my bed.

But who should I text first?

My mind wanders for a moment.

Y/n.

I shake my head.

No that's stupid, he's going to think that I'm desperate or something.

I groan loudly before burying my face in my pillow.

Maybe if I talk to him about someone else, he won't think I'm as lonely as I am.

I hummed sharply.

Maybe I could talk about Akali, she was rather sweet.

* * *

Damnit.

I look around desperate to find Y/n.

Four Ionians were giving me weird stares and making vulgar gestures.

Oh God, they're coming closer.

I walk a little faster in the hope that I either get away or find Y/n.

I continue glancing behind me, which eventually leads to me bumping into someone.

Someone falls to the ground in front of me.

I look down and quickly apologize.

Wait, this is Akali, from homeroom.

Me: "I'm sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going."

I extend my hand to help her up.

She grumbles something before getting up without my help.

Akali: "Watch where you're going next time."

I apologize again as she walks away, but I kept in mind the boys that were still following me.

Then I felt an arm wrap around my waist. Instinctively I flinch and try to get away, but he pulls me back.
