Evelynn PoV
The door slowly creaks open.
I sigh, the cold air creating a frost permeating my mouth.
"Get in already, it's cold out here."
Akali shivered behind me as she finishes her sentence.
"I agree, it's far too cold for my liking."
Kai'sa chimed, looking very uncomfortable.
With an unamused look, I push forward inside.
Inside, being the inside of Y/n's home.
I'll admit, my heart was straining to keep up.
Every cell in my body excreted my anxiety.
I kept it hidden however, I refuse to ever let anyone know if I was scared or nervous.
The calmer I look, the safer everyone else feels.
I steel my nerves.
Enough procrastinating.
I walk inside Y/n's home.
It's quiet.
*SNORE*
Not anymore.
I glance around the room, spotting the leather couch, where Y/n was currently sleeping.
"He's asleep."
I stated, a slight discontent in my tone.
Kai'sa, placing a hand on my shoulder, nodded her head.
"Akali and I will be upstairs, just like we agreed. "
I nod.
Good.
I walk closer to Y/n, intending to sit next to him.
That was until I noticed something orange on top of his chest.
Is that a...
A small fox lay on top of his chest.
It's injured...
The fox was covered up in bandages, a big one wrapped around its head.
Kai'sa and Akali walk up behind me.
Kai'sa peeked forward.
"Lucky fox, Y/n isn't the type to abandon a hurt animal. "
I glance at her as I get closer to Y/n's sleeping form.
"A softie for a cute animal, adorable."
I reach my hands for Y/n's head.
Kai'sa reached out to stop me.
"You shouldn't wake him."
I stay serious and respond calmly.
"I'm giving him a pillow."
She furrows her brow, confused by my statement.
I smirk before lifting Y/n's head up and taking a seat where his head rested before.
I let his head go, now, his head rested on my lap.
Strands of his hair fell to his forehead.
He's pretty cute when he's asleep.
I gently brush them aside.
There, that's better.
His lips curled slightly, giving him the cute appearance he had all those years ago.
