Opening Heart Part III

Y/n PoV

We arrived at my house, and I had to part ways with the three.

Me: "I gotta make some arrangements, I'll be back later, alright?"

Kai'sa nodded with a smile that made me go weak.

Kai'sa: "Don't take too long~"

She led Akali and Chris to the house, and as she does I speed away.

I think dinner is fine, I'll ask her out then.

I glance around the road.

And I'll order some pizza for Chris and Akali.

Akali PoV

I sat awkwardly on the couch because Kai'sa had spent the last few minutes humming to herself.

I think she noticed my attitude because she spoke up soon after.

Kai'sa: "So... You live with Y/n?"

I purse my lips with a nod.

Kai'sa: "Mind if I ask why?"

There was an odd feeling in the air.

Me: "Yeah, I do."

She nodded, with an understanding hum.

Kai'sa: "My apologies then. Can I ask if Y/n has treated you well?"

There it is again...

That of feeling.

Me: "Y/n has been very accommodating, and I am grateful for his help."

She seemed happy to hear that.

Kai'sa: "That's wonderful!"

She smiled warmly.

It sent shivers down my spine.

Kai'sa: "I was afraid you wouldn't like, Y/n."

I raise an eyebrow.

Me: "Why?"

She scooted closer, still wearing that smile of hers.

Kai'sa: "I wasn't sure you two would get along, but I'm glad I introduced you two."

A good friend of mine told me that you needed someone to talk to.

I smile.

So it was her...

I frown.

Me: "Can I ask you something Kai'sa?"

She nodded happily.

Kai'sa: "Of course."

I closed my eyes to build up my courage.

Gotta rip the band-aid off.

Me: "Do you like Y/n?"

We made eye contact for a moment.

Kai'sa: "I do, he is one of my very closest friends after all."

Her ever-present smile only widened.

Not the answer I wanted.

Me: "I meant romantically."

I wanted to bring my face and hide, but I knew if I didn't get the confirmation, I wouldn't rest easy.

She shook her head.

Kai'sa: "No, I've never looked at him in any type of romantic way."

I looked at her questioningly.

Me: "I don't think you hold someone's hand through hell and back just because you're friends."
