Evelynn PoV

I stood up from my desk and finally finished with all my schoolwork.

I hope Ahri is done with her work too.

My stomach growls at me.

What to make today...?

I open my bedroom door and head straight for the kitchen.

I'll try making soup today.

I turn into the kitchen.

I've been meaning to practice anyway--

My thoughts are cut short as I notice Ahri was in the kitchen.

Not only that, but she was cooking.

Me: "Ahri?"

She quickly turned her head.

Ahri: "Yeah, Eve?"

Her apron swayed as she turned to fully meet me.

Ahri: "Something the matter?"

I shook my head.

Me: "I wasn't expecting you to cook..."

She smiled at me.

Ahri: "I can't let you do everything, Eve~"

She happily sauteed some mushrooms, sliced onions, and sliced Ionian peppers.

Ahri: "Dinner is almost ready, mind setting up the table?"

I hum, and walk into the kitchen.

I pick up two plates and snatch up some utensils before heading to the table.

I place down the plates and take a seat.

Soon after Ahri came out with a pot and a pan.

Ahri: "I hope you're hungry!~"

She happily served herself rice from the pot, before handing it to me.

I serve myself some, and the fragrant smell coming from the rice initially surprised me.

Smells good.

She then passed me the pan.

Inside, was a beautiful mix of torn chicken, the previous sauteed ingredients, and a red sauce I couldn't quite put my finger on.

It smelled incredible.

I quickly served myself some.

I placed down the pan and when I looked up, I saw her eating.

On her own.

For the first time in YEARS.

Me: "Are you okay, Ahri?

She looked up from her plate after swallowing her food.

Ahri: "Yup."

She continued to eat with a smile on her face.

Me: "Are you sure...?"

She nodded and drank some water.

I sat apprehensively for a moment but decided to ignore my feelings and eat.

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, especially the red sauce.

Me: "I didn't know you could cook like this, Ahri."

*Burp*

My eyes widen.

Ahri: "Excuse me."
