Over the months Jimin has lived on the island he feels like he has grown as a person, through his experiences and tough situations he has faced. Since he managed to get the internet to be on the island, he has managed to change and adapt to his new life.
He now works remotely, with his job as an idol he is used to strict schedules, but since he has already established a fanbase he has managed to work around that. With the internet he has installed on the island he can now access them through lives and he has built himself a youtube channel.
Jimin feels like his managers would be scolding him more if he wasn't being so successful with his ideas. If anything Jimin is only bringing in new fans, since he is now doing his job unconventionally he is seen as different and 'fun' to follow, hence his growing fanbase.
He found himself making videos about meals he eats, he sometimes uses the mermen's recipes to be different, adding a human twist to them (sometimes the raw fish is not safe for human consumption).
The Minnies, Jimin's loyal fanbase, noticed Jimin's hearing aids in one of his lives, Jimin used the same excuse as he used at the doctors for credibility. The fanbase only seemed to be supportive, there was the occasional hater but they were mostly swept away by the positive comments.
Since he now knew the struggles of deaf fans he was learning Korean sign language and using it during the live, so more people could interact and understand him.
He had agreed with his manager, with the new contract he signed, that he would still do fan signs and concerts but they would be limited. He wasn't sure he could go back to his old schedule when he had finally fallen into a comfortable rhythm with his current one.

Of course all of his idol work was on the side of what he truly had come to love. Since his first visit to the Mer world he had hit it off with the King and his Potioner, so much that the King now provides him with potions that allow him to breath underwater as regularly as he can.
Of course Jimin has to limit that, there was only so much a human body could take going underwater, so he limited the visits to 2 or 3 times a week.
But the best thing of all was his mates, they supported and loved him no matter as he was. He had become a stronger swimmer, he was now more comfortable in the sea, plus if he ever got tired his mates were more than happy to allow him to swim on their back, or sunbathe on their front. Permitting Jimin to use them like they were inflatable floaties.
He learnt many things about the Mer life from his mates, like a kiss to them was pressing their fingers to the gill point on the neck, as that was their source of oxygen, so to touch a place like that was intimate.
Jimin taught them how to kiss like a human too, he might have regretted that a little when the youngest pair of the group got very enthusiastic. Like launch out of water, Jimin having to catch a heavy merman, sort of kiss. Mermen weren't light, since their tails were pure heavy muscle, so Jimin often landed on his back from that sort of enthusiasm.
As the time passed he was able to get to know his mates better.
Like how Jin seemed to be like a tired parent for the group, he often made sure to check Jimin ate, he scolded the others when they got to rough when messing around.
Yoongi was quite quiet, he was content to watch chaos unfold around him, being completely blank faced, or generally uninterested. But he was more willing to open up if Jimin asked him directly.
Hoseok was cheerful, he was always happy to cheer Jimin up, he was a constant source of laughter for the human, he was like a shot of positivity.
Namjoon was often the brains of the group, he found the concept of Jimin's lives interesting. He often suggested ideas that Jimin could do, Jimin always showed him afterwards to show Namjoon what he had done with his ideas. But of course Jimin could never include the mermen, he couldn't risk their species being hunted for his videos.
Taehyung was like a hyperactive puppy, he often got excited at Jimin turning up at the bay. Jimin could definitely say he got bowled over the most by Taehyung in greeting. Taehyung was often eager to learn all that he could from Jimin, he was excited by anything new that he could learn.
Jungkook was just as enthusiastic as Taehyung, he was always boasting that he was the first one who found Jimin, Jimin made sure to remind him as to how he found him, he couldn't let the youngest merman's ego get to big. He often was asking Jimin for his cooking, the mermen were practically signing a petition for Jimin to bring them kimchi every day, it was by far their favourite food Jimin would make.
So now with a finished home, a successful career, a comfortable and peaceful place to live. With loved ones all around, both family and those who had become family, Jimin could finally feel like he had achieved peak happiness in his life. He could only hope it would get better from this point on.
So as he sat on the beach, his cats around and on his lap, surrounding him as he watched his mates put on a fantastical show using their tails and water, a smile of true happiness was to be found on his face.

I know I said 2 more chapters. But honestly I ran out of things to include in this chapter, so I merged this and what was going to be the final chapter.
